I have had a bad experience yesterday when I installed another template hoping to create another site. Not knowing, I used the same database information from my original site for this new site, and when I finished the new site and tested it, it worked( I was happy)
Then I went to the browser of the original site and refreshed it, and to my surprise, it returned with error 500, then I realised that I have overwritten my original sites database with the new site template. Luckily, I made a backup of my site the day before(a little bird told me to), so I have been able to restore to that point
So please all those without JOOMLAPACK go and get it, and BACKUP your site that you have spent days on, it will save you in the future, and try to backup as often.

Please moderators sticky this or create an announcement about backing up sites so some of us new to joomla/web design will have a back bone to support us when we make mistakes

lol 🙂 glad you got it sorted, was the guide clear enough on how to restore?

Every big change you make, backup or it will bite you in the *ss 🙂

The guide was good and straight forward but the issue it the kickstart.php should resite in the same folder as the backup zip file otherwise the kickstart will not be able to located it. In my case the backup was in the com_joomlapack folder so kickstart could not find it, so I moved it to the main folder before it worked
    Backup!!!:D
