    Not sure what you mean by not having to add the categories individually … isn’t that a step you would always have to take regardless?

    Can you provide a graphical mock-up of what it is you are wanting to accomplish?

    Virtuemart comes with a module that lists all of the product categories automatically. Normally, a developer can just publish this module into the left position, and have a full list of product categories.

    Using a joomlart template, there doesn’t seem to be a viable way to do this, without getting a menu which looks completely different (cosmetically) than the orginal virtuemart menu.

    Well, I’m not sure if this addresses your issue, but when VirtueMart is installed onto a Joomla template, the menu structure is pretty much going to conform to the CSS layout design of the template itself. As for the categories listing – I have never really had any issues with teh basic demo products being listed, so long as they are properly added and active/enabled within VirtueMart in the first place.

    By the way, can’t get into your site to look at it – as it is password protected.
