February 19, 2008 at 9:55 am #239503If the number of images in the gallery you want to display in the front page slideshow is less than the number of thumbnails set in JA RSGallery2 Slider module parameters the slideshow will not autorun (found this by trial and error). So if you only have 5 displayable images in your gallery (see also my post on the “Feature Only?” parameter) set the number of thumbnails to 4 and you should find it works.

February 25, 2008 at 5:56 pm #240097Same here, I used the quickstart package and the slideshow will not work at all
February 25, 2008 at 6:50 pm #240099Ok, I have done some testing…
I am using 1.1.3 stable Quickstart. I have made my own categories and images and these do not play the slideshow.. However when i click on one of ja’s sample ones placed in the quickstart it plays the slideshow!
How very strange? 😮
Any help is greatly appreciated
February 25, 2008 at 8:33 pm #240105Hey again.
I can now use the slideshow… however to use it you must:
1/ create a blank gallery
2/move all images from one gallery to the blank one you just created
3/ go into the gallery you just created
4/ manually click each picture and put it back into its origional gallery (you must not move multipil items, you must go into each and change it category)Hey presto!, it should be working again – well mine is anyway 🙂
Also the error seems to be with administrator/components/com_rsgallery2/options/images.php on line 525. However i havnt yet spotted whats out of place
I hope that helps someone

March 2, 2008 at 3:33 am #240957some one ask the similar question again and the way it works is to use other template Slideshow One author by rsgallery2.net rather than the original Avian template JA_Semantic or JA Slideshow from the template manager of the component RS Gallery
In a conclusion it is just still not working with the original Avian templateMarch 2, 2008 at 10:14 pm #241030why isnt there any official reply yet?
slow support (or better here: no support) is alright, if a product is given away for free by an author, but:

do you expect the community to put time ,and so money, into issues, which are bugs in products by joomlart?Sherlock FriendSherlock

March 6, 2008 at 8:56 am #241438Hi Kaeau.
Slideshow still work okie, but it not like orginal slideshow of Rs gallery because JA has customized Rs gallery component follow Avian II template. JA Sildeshow havs LightBox, it not auto run, plz hover images and click button Next/Prev if you want to see next/prev image.
Hope can help you to understand.March 6, 2008 at 2:39 pm #241470ok, so we can just remove the button in the template in gallery view , which doesnt work and so confuses visitors.
nice greetings
philippMarch 11, 2008 at 2:17 am #241884I saw lots of post here and had the same problem – However reading more carefully the answer was already here.
Make sure you set the number of thumbnails in the Slider module parameters less than the actual number of thumbnails you have.
i.e. If your slideshow is showing 5 thumbnails – set the parameter to only show 4 – It worked for me!

March 11, 2008 at 3:07 am #241886Thanks easykey for confirming what I already knew. It seems like people really are not reading all of the thread. I have noticed this in a number of different threads lately.
March 11, 2008 at 5:45 pm #241964the problem is not the SLIDER MODULE
but the button “slideshow” in the gallery view of any created gallery.
live site example: http://www.erwingabriel.at/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&Itemid=28&gid=18click on SLIDESHOW there, and just a # is added to the url and it doesnt work.
quote nguoiabcd:
“Slideshow still work okie, but it not like orginal slideshow of Rs gallery because JA has customized Rs gallery component follow Avian II template. JA Sildeshow havs LightBox, it not auto run, plz hover images and click button Next/Prev if you want to see next/prev image.
Hope can help you to understand.”we dont use lightboxes at the clients site.
and pressing “next/prev” is nothing, anyone can actually call a SLIDESHOW function.so, again, the button slideshow has to be deleted and the RS gallery looses a feature..
