I really want to use this template but I can’t get it to behave just like a normal Joomla site.

I want a simple category blog layout but the template is apparently wanting to be in control of where my images go and how big they are.

How can I just get a completely normal, non JA NEWS layout happening with this template.

Am I missing something?

Please let me know if its me being daft!

You may have to remove some code from the index.php. I don’t have Opal installed so can’t tell but that’s what you do with Teline. Maybe have a look in that forum.

open your host; root/templates/yourtemaplste name/html
rename html to html1

Thank you for a great answer … almost what I wanted. I still want the login etc styled as per the template so I just renamed the folder ***/html/com_content to ***/html/com_content1

Thats what I wanted.

Now I want some of the styling like the image padding and borders etc so I will dig deeper for a more perfect solution but thanks for the pointer
