Hi, I cannot figure out how to get the Newsflash feature that comes with Rochea and is featured in the upper graphic header to work the way that it does in the demo. I was unable to download all of the content from the sample site.

My Newsflash stays static unless you reload the page or go to another page. I would like it to refresh itself the way the demo does. Can someone please explain exactly what settings need to be configured in order to have it perform like the demo.

Also, I cannot figure out how to change the title from “Newsflash” the default, I guess, to the different large titles seen with each different newsflash in the demo. Can someone please tell me exactly how to configure it so that these large titles change too?

Hi valart,

I would like to answer your questions as follows:

1. My Newsflash stays static unless you reload the page or go to another page. I would like it to refresh itself the way the demo does
=> You can download this module again, we have fixed this issue and update to the lastest version.

2. To change to the size of title, please open template.css file, at about line 1114, find following code to change the font-size to your requirement:

#ja-subhead div.moduletable h3 {
background:transparent none repeat scroll 0 0;
color:#FFFFFF;
font-size:225%;
margin:0;
padding:0;
text-decoration:none;
}

Hi, thanks for your reply. Can you please tell me where to obtain the latest version of janewsflash? The version I downloaded last week was part of the JAROCHEA template. Thank you for your help!

I figured out how to change the title to something other than, Newsflash, which is what I wanted to do, but now I cannot configure the four Newsflash items with this module. I am getting a message that says, “Please select a category for JA Newsflash!” under the newsflash heading. You can see the url here:

This appears to be a pretty common problem, as when I did a search, a bunch of home pages came up that say the same thing! Funny!

Anyhow, if you could please offer instructions for getting the various news items configured to work with this module I would appreciate it.

By the way, the news items were appearing before I changed the newsflash title! That is weird!
