January 28, 2013 at 4:51 am #184439Hey All,
I have been a Joomlart user for years and years and have always been able to at least set up the base temp with an occasional assist from folks here.
I really love the new OnePage, but for the life of me, I cannot get it set up. I had been using puresite, but when this came out I wanted to change and I have made a mess out of things.
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here? Can’t get the home page nav set up. I tried to follow the guide which normally is straight forward.
I must be missing something and this layout and config is so different.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Robyn

January 29, 2013 at 7:26 pm #481560I found the entire guide confusing starting with the .less instructions as this cannot be edited with DW. I have gone back to Puresite Template, but now I am trying to figure out how to adjust that to have a hero shot exactly like onepage Metro theme. Having trouble with that now.
Usually the Joomlart guides are awsome. You follow them, they work. Onepage, was confusing. I got that we need to set up the module for each menu button, but in the instructions for the ID (example was #435), it was unclear if you wanted the module ID or the home menu ID. Since I have different sections, put the second portion in to agree with the modules I build and did use the underscore to ensure no wild spaces. It did not work. When I set up the home button – following the instructions it gave me an error that said it must be a component???
Did never figure out the hero-unit. I just gave up and went back to Puresite.
Great design, very cool functionality, but much harder (and too frustrating) to configure for me. Others will likely have no problems.

January 30, 2013 at 8:47 am #481644I agree that this new template is a little bit different from older templates, it’s more suitable for a launch site rather than the way older templates do. If you still want to use this template, you can use quickstart package to install (like the demo site) or pm me admin and ftp account, I shall help you configure it.
Regards
