I am using Joomla! 1.5.14 and VirtueMart 1.1.3 .
My website hangs completely when with IE8!!!

Reading the Nagya forum I found out the following possible solution:
1)You need to paste the following code into the first line of the <head> of your index.php file
<meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=7″ />
2)Code:
window.addEvent (‘resize’, equalHeight);
and change to:
Code:
//window.addEvent (‘resize’, equalHeight);
3)use the following plugin:
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensi…standards/7623
Which is the most recommended solution out of the three?
Is there a standard fix solution that i should apply?
Can someone please help me with this problem?

P.S. I think when using the compatibility view under tools menu in IE8 it looks ok
Firefox and IE7 works fine!
I have found the following in the forum which I believe applies also for my case.
“Nope, it is just that you are using a version of a template that was released before the abortion that is IE8.
There are 2 options, you could install the latest release of this templae which has apparently had fixes for IE8 included in the update or you could at the little meta tag in the head of your template to force IE8 into compatability mode (google the tag)”
Can someone please confirm?

Was this mentioned in changelog.txt?
It seems i am using an older version.

The problem now is how to add all the changes between the two versions:
a) Delete old and upload new?
b) Overwrite file under https/templates folder?
c)Can I have at the same time the old nagya template and the new installed?
