October 15, 2008 at 8:26 am #134439Dear forum members,
Is there anyone who can help with the following css problems in Firefox
1. Pdf, email, print icons overlap with content when viewed with Firefox
3139
2. Whole page shifts in Firefox
I think this might be caused by the firefox scrollbar that appears.
The website url is http://pci2009.ionio.gr and it’s J1.5.7. I also applied the 3 columns patch.
Thank you in advance for you help.

October 15, 2008 at 9:12 am #275383Hi alpa
It looks like it’s only one article that’s very close to the printer, pdf & email buttons. The quickest solution, insert xhtml break tag (<br />) before the line that’s close to the buttons. All you need to do is edit the html source of the article and insert the break tag.

October 15, 2008 at 9:16 am #275384Hi tonyg
Thanx for the reply. I know that by inserting a pagebreak the problem is solved. I will create more pages with text and the same problem will appear there too.
So I was looking for a css fix if possible.
Any ideas on the page shift problem beacause of the scrollbars ?

October 15, 2008 at 9:25 am #275387Hi alpa,
I didn’t experienced any page shift with Firefox 3.0.3, I will do a test with different browsers and report back on the findings.

October 15, 2008 at 9:44 am #275390Hi tonyg
Thanx for the reply. I use Firefox 3.0.3 too. You can see the page shift if you click for example first on Home and the on Call for papers.
The thing is that the page shift will appear if you have a screen resolution high enough so that one page displays with a scrollbar and the other without (I have 1280 x 1024).
I researched a bit about this css problem and I found that it’s a common css problem with Firefox
Take a look here
http://www.dave-woods.co.uk/?p=103
I tried their solution but it did not work
But I thought that Ja Mesolite css has been coded in such way to avoid such problems
Any clues ??
Hope this hint helps.

October 15, 2008 at 1:50 pm #275427Managed to solve the page shift on my own.
Went in the css file and added the following line:
html{
overflow: -moz-scrollbars-vertical; /* Always show scrollbar */
}Still do not know what to change in the css file to fix Pdf, email, print icons overlap with content when viewed with Firefox
