Hi, i am using the template fagus. The site is nearly complete. I can access admin panel, but the actual site cannot be seen. i saw it last night and it was fine.

Which modules did you install yesterday? Try to unpublish them one by one and see if that helps out.
Did you do any changes to the template?

url is mentioned above. i don’t like to mention it a lot because the search engines pick it up and i usually don’t want my threads to be picked up on my customers site. so please look at my initial post.

i am using 1.5.3 and used the quickstart with fagus. and it has been perfect. it was a shock to me this morning.

    thank you.

i had something similar a long while back. just a thought:

can you have a look at your configuration.php and see if all of the settings are still there???

    ellie

can you login to the admin panel and then set the error reporting to maximum (it’s in the global configuration under the server option). let’s see if anything is printed to the homepage.

this will most likely identify what is causing the blank screen.

well, honestly, i wouldn’t know if one was missing, but the settings that i do see appear to be in keeping with my site. is there one i should be looking for ?

sorry – i should’ve modified both of my posts above.

the configuration file was just a check to see if there was anything in the file. However, the important bit is setting the error reporting to maximum (don’t foget to set it back to none when this problem has been fixed).

as mentioned before – the error reporting should help to find out what is wrong and where it’s going wrong.

    Hi Ellie

It seems that a module that has been installed has caused the site to break. which module was it that you installed?

Without the knowledge of which module it was it’ll be pretty hard to figure out how to fix it. what is the module name (I know it’s custom footer) but what does it appear as in the backend: mod_?????

it’s called mod_customfooter the zip file was mod_customFooter_1_0_1.zip
i uninstalled it already, was that a no no.

    and this
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/xxxx/public_html/mywebsite/administrator/components/com_templates/helpers/template.php on line 62
