November 23, 2011 at 8:22 pm #171035I have checked many times the instilation guide and user guide but still didnt get this problem done. I want my articles and article links open in a new window either pop up or a new window or a tab window. But just not front page at content view. I have to drag down then see the article 🙁 Not nice. On demo site it opens in a new window and please somebody tell me how you do this? Thanks
By the way I am using Joomla 1.6 and template of JA Teline IV the link to site is: http://www.thekurdish.com

November 23, 2011 at 8:33 pm #426188usually when you create the link you are given the option on where it will open by your editor panel
I.E. _self opens in existing window. _blank opens in new window. Basic html stuff that everyone attempting web design should know.
If you use Joomla Content Editor and pay to get the extras the media manager etc. has a drop down menu to help with this kind of selection

November 23, 2011 at 9:45 pm #426195Thanks for replay but I guess you didnt get the question. I am not talking about creating a link in an article. I am talking about more article links on the home page. And I just want to learn how do you guys did on the DEMO JA Teline IV Site. When user clicks an article it opens up in a new window instead of content view.

November 25, 2011 at 4:57 am #426345hi mehmetcesit,
If i have a correctly understanding about your questions then what you want is when you open a article it should display in a article page only and without any modules around it, right ?
if that you just need to create a menu item which referring directly to that article (or refer to the category the articel belong to) then you do not assign any modules to display with that new menu item.If this is not the case, please give me exact example of what you wish to achieve. You can download the quickstart of Teline and try to crosscheck that the settings are as per the demo.
