I made a total n00b mistake recently and upgraded my site from Joomla 3.2 to 3.3.1 without really checking to make sure that all of my template, modules and plugins would be compatible. I know… dumb move.

This is entirely on me. But if you are working on template upgrades to Joomla 3.3.x (which I sincerely hope you are), I would humbly request that JA_Mitius go to the top of your list. I am sure there are other templates you’re more excited about updating, but as I’m an actual customer with an urgent need of the update, perhaps you’ll consider giving it some priority?

That’s all I’m asking. My site is functional on the front end (as far as I’ve been able to detect), but I cannot add any new articles (which is becoming a serious problem for obvious reasons), and the admin breaks when I try to use it in any real capacity. I can log in, but I start getting white screens and can’t save anything when forms do show.

I’ve built a development site so that this will not happen again in the future, but in the meantime, I’d really love to have a solution that’s also progressive in making my template 3.3.x compatible. “Kill two birds,” as the saying goes.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

    Signed,
    n00b mistake

    Hi there,

Did you rollback from Joomla 3.3.x to Joomla 3.2.2 as I see Joomla 3.2.2 at your backend?

Regarding creating articles: I’ve just created a test article on your site with no problem:

Could you please describe in what particular scenarios you are getting white screens at your administrator panel?

I played with your admin panel under Linux/Chrome and I advise you to check if your problems with creating articles and logins would persist under another machine.

    Hope this helps,

    Alex

Yes, I had to do a rollback. This takes some of the urgency off my request, but I would still like to advocate for a Mitius update soon. JA Slideshow Lite in particular seems to have issues with compatibility, etc, and could probably use a bit of polishing, so it can operate under J3.3.

I expect to be growing this site quickly over the next few months. Making sure I’m running the most updated versions of everything will make me feel a lot more secure, etc.

Thanks for checking in on me all the same.

    Hi Matt,

We do expect to have all our products up-to-date, however, due to limited resources and our monthly template workload as well as a large number of templates, it takes us time to proceed the updating. Please give us more time.

    Hope you understand our situation.

    Hi cyrber971,

Could you please do us a favor and create a new thread with your issue, preferably filling in the “Access Information provided for JA Staff (JA Forum Feature)” web-form with your web-site URL, your Joomla Super User username/password (will be seen only to JoomlArt Staff members)?

Regardless of how similar with this thread your situation might seem, chances are that your case is unique and we would appreciate if you create for your issue your own dedicated thread with it.

Many thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

    Regards,

    Alex
