July 6, 2011 at 2:18 pm #165998Hello,
I don’t find any forum about this plug-in so I post here.
I just installed the plugin “JA Social” (1.0.3) and use the “Facebook Share Settings”.
It’s working but when I select the position : “after content display”, the button “share” still stay before the content of the article…So what can I do to fix this ?
And is it possible to add text after this plug-in, like “be the first to share this article” ?
And how to change the “share” text to put it in french ?Thank in advance for your help.

July 13, 2011 at 12:29 pm #400962Hi dieudonne,
I am extremely sorry about the site loss. I am in charge of the ticket raised for this issue, but I havent logged in your host panel. I would suggest you to check your server log to check what happened.
Please let me know if I can help in anyway.
Solution to your question regarding Facebook share
<blockquote>I just installed the plugin “JA Social” (1.0.3) and use the “Facebook Share Settings”.
It’s working but when I select the position : “after content display”, the button “share” still stay before the content of the article…
</blockquote>
I have checked the Facebook share and it works correctly with any position set, before display, before / after content display etc.
<blockquote>And is it possible to add text after this plug-in, like “be the first to share this article” ?</blockquote>
You can add ‘be the first to share this article’ text by the side of the share count and button like shown in the attachment. proper placement of the text and beautification can be achieved as you want, only issue is that to put such text, you will need to have the ja facebook share plugin file which is not recommended, since the changes will be lost when you upgrade the plugin.
<blockquote>And how to change the “share” text to put it in french ?</blockquote>
The button and count seems to be coming from the FB API and I dont think we can change it. But still I will find out how does this ‘share’ text gets displayed in other languages that in English.1 user says Thank You to himangi for this useful post

July 13, 2011 at 1:35 pm #400971Hi,
Can you please let me know once you have the site live? As I said the plugin worked fine for me in all the all positions, and I dont see any issue with that. So I will have to take a look at the issue you are facing on your end.

July 13, 2011 at 1:41 pm #400973OK, the upload is finish and I just made a new test. The problem is still here.
When I select the position : “after the content display”, the facebook image is still before the article.
There is a example link on the ticket.For the other request : on right position (near the print and email icon) I just found it :
/plugins/system/jasocial/assets/style.css on ligne 20
float: left; must be float: right;Thank in advance.
ps1 : and there is no documentation about this plugin ?
ps2 : like I said before in this post, I want now to put this plugin just before the article. So it’s ok, but I just want to know why it’s not work with the position “after the content display” (the content is the article, isn’t it ?)dieudonne Frienddieudonne

July 13, 2011 at 2:44 pm #400977and is it possible to remove the border (see screenshot) ?
I don’t know how to do this, because if I remove something in .button (in template.css), it change the button’s appearance in the contact form !
.button, button {
background: url("../images/grad-l1.gif") repeat-x scroll left bottom #FFFFFF;
border-color: #DDDDDD #CCCCCC #CCCCCC #DDDDDD;
border-style: solid;
border-width: 1px;
cursor: pointer;
font-family: "Arial Narrow",Arial,Verdana,Sans-serif;
font-weight: bold;
overflow: visible;
padding: 3px 5px;
text-transform: uppercase;

July 14, 2011 at 6:30 am #401076Hi,
I check the Ja Social system plugin and it seems it’s a bug in the latest version, in previous version positioning was working fine. I have reported it as a bug. You can keep checking the bug resolving status at http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JATCTELINEIV-257
The change you said you have made in the style.css should not be made there, since this style.css file we be overwritten when you upgrade the plugin loosing all changes you may have done. Instead of that add the following styling in your template.css file. I have copied the original styling from the /plugins/system/jasocial/assets/style.css and have added more styling to it to remove the border and background to the button.
/*styling for JA social system plugin buttons*/
.ja_socialaftercontent .ja-fblike-button,
.ja_socialbeforecontent .ja-fblike-button,
.ja_socialaftercontent .ja-retweet-button,
.ja_socialbeforecontent .ja-retweet-button,
.ja_socialaftercontent .digg-button-share,
.ja_socialbeforecontent .digg-button-share,
.ja_socialaftercontent .gbuzz-share-button,
.ja_socialbeforecontent .gbuzz-share-button,
.ja_socialaftercontent .ja-fbshare-button,
.ja_socialbeforecontent .ja-fbshare-button {
margin: 5px;
float:right;
border: 0px;
background: none;

July 14, 2011 at 7:40 am #401098Hello,
thank you very much for your help (your work is really great).
It’s ok now.2 last things :
1) how can I change the text “share” button facebook (to french) ?
Do you have any idea to do that ?2) and for everything to be perfect, how to justify the icons (or center the items)?
(see screenshot)Thank you in advance.
