Hello,

I don’t find any forum about this plug-in so I post here.

I just installed the plugin “JA Social” (1.0.3) and use the “Facebook Share Settings”.
It’s working but when I select the position : “after content display”, the button “share” still stay before the content of the article…

So what can I do to fix this ?

And is it possible to add text after this plug-in, like “be the first to share this article” ?
And how to change the “share” text to put it in french ?

Ok, no answer. So I try something else…
I keep it on the top of the article but I have a another problem.
Is it possible to put the icon “facebook” and “twitter” to the left ? Near the print and email icon.

I gave access to the ticket (administrator and ftp) and everything was erased !
Fortunately it was a test site.
No answer at all, FTP erased, …What’s going on ?

Solution to your question regarding Facebook share

I have checked the Facebook share and it works correctly with any position set, before display, before / after content display etc.

You can add ‘be the first to share this article’ text by the side of the share count and button like shown in the attachment. proper placement of the text and beautification can be achieved as you want, only issue is that to put such text, you will need to have the ja facebook share plugin file which is not recommended, since the changes will be lost when you upgrade the plugin.

The button and count seems to be coming from the FB API and I dont think we can change it. But still I will find out how does this ‘share’ text gets displayed in other languages that in English.

Can you please let me know once you have the site live? As I said the plugin worked fine for me in all the all positions, and I dont see any issue with that. So I will have to take a look at the issue you are facing on your end.

OK, the upload is finish and I just made a new test. The problem is still here.

When I select the position : “after the content display”, the facebook image is still before the article.
There is a example link on the ticket.

For the other request : on right position (near the print and email icon) I just found it :

/plugins/system/jasocial/assets/style.css on ligne 20
float: left; must be float: right;

ps1 : and there is no documentation about this plugin ?
ps2 : like I said before in this post, I want now to put this plugin just before the article. So it’s ok, but I just want to know why it’s not work with the position “after the content display” (the content is the article, isn’t it ?)

I don’t know how to do this, because if I remove something in .button (in template.css), it change the button’s appearance in the contact form !

Hi,

I check the Ja Social system plugin and it seems it’s a bug in the latest version, in previous version positioning was working fine. I have reported it as a bug. You can keep checking the bug resolving status at http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/JATCTELINEIV-257

The change you said you have made in the style.css should not be made there, since this style.css file we be overwritten when you upgrade the plugin loosing all changes you may have done. Instead of that add the following styling in your template.css file. I have copied the original styling from the /plugins/system/jasocial/assets/style.css and have added more styling to it to remove the border and background to the button.

2 last things :
1) how can I change the text “share” button facebook (to french) ?
Do you have any idea to do that ?

2) and for everything to be perfect, how to justify the icons (or center the items)?
