Has anyone heard or uses some plugin that simply rewrites the path and url normally seen in the source of the site referring to the template and extensions used for the site.

With JA Templates it looks similar to …/templates/ja_uvite/index.php when you look up the source code via the browser etc.. With templates from other clubs simply the same with other names.

The SEF components usually rewrite what you want but I haven’t seen any fields that manage to rewrite any template references and / or extensions references for the source output.

A plugin to rewrite all what normally can be seen in the source of the site. I think it looks kind of better when one simply sees, “custom_name/index.php” instead of a long path. Same with extensions and their long paths in the source.

    Thanks!:)

Why would you want to change those links? Myself i dont see any use in doing that in first thought.

I explained why, plus I work on sites that are not regional based but national based or even cross border sites. As to this, I prefer to have a source that looks same as those of the sites that afford to have a clean source output without any reference to any little or big extension or template I use… I do not like to present sites to the public that look in the source like the typical Joomla Kids Playgrounds.

That is all, to keep it professional.

I think this module does what you are looking for, its not in joomla 1.5 yet but they say that version is comming soon.
