Hi Everyone

I’ve got a really strange problem and hope somebody here can help me out.

I’m using a plugin on my Telline II site which publishes the web site name before the page name on every single page of the site. This works fine.

I have just built a site using Mesolite and installed the same plugin. It doesn’t work at all.

This is the config in both Telline II and Mesolite:

Nothing difficult there. However, in Telline II I have the following plugin parameters:

This works fine and does exactly what it should do on the front end.

Now for the strange thing, I did exactly the same install of the plugin in Mesolite, and this is what I get for the plugin parameters:

I uninstalled and reinstalled but always the same problem.

I tried to contact the developer but no reply (hey, what should I expect, the plugin is free!!)

Anyone got any ideas how I could somehow FTP the parameters from the Telline II site to the Mesolite site. If so, what to copy and how to find them?

Which plugin are you using? I’ll download the same one and test it on my local Mesolite to see if it’s a general Mesolite issue or something to do with yours only if you like. It’s a starting point if nothing else.

Thanks Jason. Yes indeed, I’m running 1.5.8 but with a quite heavily ‘hacked’ Mesolite.

If you fancy a roam about, I can send you Super Admin details for a test site?

Chris,

I’m just going to get a bit of shut eye, I’ve been awake for nearly 30 hours now and I’m starting to fade.:confused:
I’ll get in touch as soon as I’m back though and if the problems still there, I’ll see if I can find anything with fresh eyes.

If you happen to be using sh404sef you might be able to accomplish the same thing under config “Insert before page title”.

Chris,

Do you fancy trying another extension that does the same thing? It might just be an incompatibility problem with that certain plugin that you are using (or it might not).

Hmm, only 165 credits in Jay’s account. I predict a developers Icon appears under his name in the near future. 😉

Absolutely, I’ll give it a whirl. I’ve got a test site so I’ll try it out on that first, if it works, I’ll install on the live site.

The plugin you recommended sorted it! Amazing, after hours of fiddling around, I had the new plugin installed, configured and published in under five minutes!
