You bring that discussion into another area, try not to pick out the word fool and come with some explanation like this, you know what the point is. I am not about being foolish like I could be when I would step back from creating a super nice site because people can’t access it, people who maybe spend 1% of the total, it is again very much psychological. People who do not have new browsers, in case they are really personal users, are not even really the ones who do bring a lot, they rarely purchase online, and when then they are scared if anything works out, and purchase just a bit, and when it worked out with the purchase, they are more glad and feel lucky that it worked, but always stay scared the next bigger purchase, the online shop could rip them off. Those are the people who I do not make sites for but for the loyal internet clientele that loves to shop online, that loves being pampered with design and style and always have all new when it comes to browsers, java versions, flash versions etc..

This is the point, so please do not pick out this just bringing the discussion away from the point.

Now, serious issue, what about this, do you know how to make a VM Mirror site, meaning I use 1 VM system on 2 homepages, one for the few of my clients that have old systems? Or do I have to set up a second shop with the work twice to update the inventory daily what already takes hours, to use 2 erp instances? Then tell me, I would be glad to know how I can add a IE6 compliant site to my main site integrated into the same VM, that even loads on 56k modems in 0.4 seconds…;)

I do see your point I just don’t agree with it. But anyway…

RE: Two sites. Could you ‘clone’ your main site and make the clone IE6 compatible? Then have a conditional redirect on your main site that sends IE6 users to the clone? Both sites share the same DB of course.

Don’t know it this would work tbh. If it were me… I’d just make the main site IE6 compatible. What is it in your main site that is not IE6 compatible anyway?
