Thanks a lot for the feedback and the votes, ofcourse now I feel that I could have added more options to the poll to include real estate / school / games templates.

@icbl Yes, I agree there are very few school / college templates available. If you can grab some ideas or good websites, that might help to get the idea of features required and we can even put it on 99designs.com for competitive designs like we did for JA Community plus.

@nevinpolat we did have JA Bistro template for the catering / restaurant theme. For the booking system, It would need styling a 3rd party extension. I will surely pass this idea to the team for consideration.

@backway2 I have forwarded your feedback on the security concern of Teline II V2 to the team for investigation. Teline series are news site oriented and uses a lot of extensions and its not possible to test such specific templates with all the extensions, it was never tested with virtuemart.

@jahervie another real estate template might not be possible early, we do have JA portfolio template. Yes, we can try to work on Portfolio II to support T3 latest version (responsive, bootstrapped) and provide K2 filter module complimentary or at a highly discounted price. Whats your take on this?

@anet.pl every template club have their own style. I can identify most of the Rockettheme, gavick templates just by looking at the design. I did check on the showcase just now, We do have variety in designs its not monotonous, or is it?

Please feel free to provide more feedback, we now do have idea of templates our members are looking for.

Do you have any timeline at all on the Teline V template or upgrading Teline IV for Joomla! 3.1-3.5?? Next couple of months…next fall … next year? There are many Teline template users out here. I’ve looked for an alternate 3.0 ready news template and the others just do not compare. You spoiled us with Teline IV but now we are kinda stuck about upgrading to latest version of Joomla! Any information you have on the timetable would be appreciated and will help us plan for the transition to J3.0.

hi IImahan,

Teline V is going to take time, even if we start now.. it would take around 2-3 months atleast, getting the concept right for teline’s has always been a challenge. Regarding Teline IV for Joomla 3.0, its already a work in progress, upgrade work is done and is awaiting its turn for testing and release. Hopefully this week (max next week), we shall have it released.

These files should not be there in the images folder. I checked the demo site and quickstart and they are not there. images folder does not have any php files. You need to ask your hosting provider to do a scan for rogue scripts, that would help.

Thank you! for hearing us out. I do have many colleagues in sales that would like to try out Joomla esp. JA templates but wouldn’t because they are scared to try out.They are comfortable using wordpress because there are lots of customizable portfolio templates for real estate and car products. I myself would be willing to cash out few extra bucks if needed if you could also make one.

Here’s my added wishlist if ever you’ll be making a Portfolio 2 template:
– Clean modern look and feel
– CSV Import/Export plugin – Administrator can import/export multiple properties/products by using CSV/excel Import feature.
– Field groups & Custom field groups – We can create the field groups and custom field groups for property system.
– Google Maps integration
– JomSocial integration
– Easy to customize property/product search
– Sh404sef integration
– Mortgage and Loan Calculator modules
– chat functions like zopim or clickdesk (full function isnt free so if you could tie up with them at a much lower price the better)

Of course, with the latest T3 version, responsive and bootstrapped and with extra plug-ins that JA can add..

Mind you … a template can be made to be JomSocial ready/compatible – but you’re not going to see a JomSocial integrated template. JomSocial is a commercial third-party component which must be purchased/subscribed to independent of any template (by the individual user or group or whatnot).

Just wanted to clear that one point up. 😎

I think if you look through the comments the majority of people are either Friends of JA or Licensed Members not Devs.

Anyway, I hope that JA are intelligent enough to know to take the top 5 and heh presto, you’ve got the next 5 templates. So you know that this year there should be a good corporate, a joomshopping, a blog, Teline V, and probably a fashion one to replace Methys. (at this stage in the voting) Hopefully.
