June 5, 2007 at 9:44 am #221520I have sent a PM to JoomlArt team and they said that user guide will be carefully documented in next templates, thanks for your feedback.
June 5, 2007 at 2:37 pm #221531What do you mean with “… in next templates”?
Will there be not a better documentation for the June Template available soon?
I have seen the demopage, want to style my site as it and became a member for this reason. I paid and now I am alone with my problems.
– How to set up the JA News? it doesn´t work.
– How to set up the black background in JA Newsflash? It doesn´t work with hilight parameters
– How to…Questions over question.
I agrree with Jaques who said, that he can´t get the layout like the demopage without a right documentation.
June 5, 2007 at 2:47 pm #221532Ok, 1:0 for you 🙂
hilite works (i´ve typed hilight, that was my fault). But my other problems consist.

June 5, 2007 at 8:11 pm #221543We would be more than happy to try help you. Could you be more specific in what is not working with the JA-news? Perhaps a live URL or at least some screenshots.
I would also suggest to read the detailed userguides for the other templates delivered as some of them have more detailed instructions. Just a tip to how you can learn a bit more. :p
June 5, 2007 at 8:51 pm #221546Hi Eric,
thank you for your reply.
The problems with the JA News I´ve solved.
Now I try to get the elements in the right and left module position the same style like the demopage.
“Top-Tracks”, “Hottest in Billboard”. I am sure to get this solved once upon a time. But imho it´s worst time to get to the results with the try and error method. A detailled documentation how the elemets are set up for the template would be very helpful to save time. There are a few questions. Here two concrete:
1) How to set up the Toptracks part in the right module position?
How to get the headgraphic?2) How to get the unordered list in the top of the left module position with the graphice 01, 02, and so on?
I´ve tried it with the <li class=”one”> etc, but no result. I got an normal list with leading black dots.Greetings, Ingo.
P.S.: The URL is http://www.maxx180.net (but in time, I have the site offline. In the next hours it will be online.
June 6, 2007 at 1:26 am #221554ok,ok 🙂
The most of my problems are solved. It had took a while but I´ve found the “How-tos” (for example the JA News Configuration guide) in the Teline-Template Guide.
My wish for the next templates: Please copy and paste the given information of reused stuff of older templates in the actual template guide. It´s not that lot of work for you, but it will save the users and members (even the newbies) a mass of time they could use in a better manner.
Greetings, Ingo.

June 6, 2007 at 6:29 am #221566I agree completely with you. Every template should be updated with the latest information and added the user guide information to each new template. Hopefully this is something they will keep doing in the future. Also there will be quick installation guides and so on which is also very helpful in understanding the works.
I think most of the reason for not having too well documented stuff right now is the pressure on the team to finish 2 templates each month. They should add a “copywriter” or something to the team, who would be in charge of adding the user documentation and such. That would take off the workload from the design and coding group.
Just my 5 cents..
