This is a complete custom work takes that needs pretty heavy customisation of developer level to make a search like it.
You can find 3rd party extension from JED or check the JA Magz ii template and see how the module is defined in those templates that is similar to your requirement, this way can customise the search module and position on your site as you have search module code example from JA Magz ii template.

what if i just want the menu text change to image or an icon?

i have put the fa fa search icon in the megamenu.
is it possible to remove the text"search" on the main menu..?
