Hi,
I noticed when viewing the different templates from S, M, L, and XL and when viewing the wall on L and XL (sometimes even M), it takes a very long time for it to load within the pop up and trying to play any videos is a no and no and takes to long to load and when it does it plays the video in bits (glitchy). It also takes a while to load any articles.
Has anyone else noticed this problem when viewing on L and XL. I am using a using widescreen with my pc and automatically uses the XL template settings and this is where I noticed that I cannot use the wall function on the homepage properly because it takes so long to load – it will drive visitors away… so I have had to disable the pop up view, which unfortunately – is what makes this template unique to its name, the wall.
Does anyone know how this can be speeded up at all… otherwise it is too slow.
Thank you,
Freddy.

August 10, 2012 at 4:49 am #463818Hi Freddy
Thanks for your report. I think its a issue of hosting or internet speed. It does not depend on S, M, L and XL layout viewing.

August 10, 2012 at 10:43 am #463863Hi Hero,
After running speedtest.net I see that my internet connection is 7.37mbps. I also noticed this problem with your hosted demo on your site (so this is not an issue of internet speed or my hosting).
When you are in wide and xtra-wide layout, the pop-up is extremely slow (it seems to be when you have many of the boxes up on the homepage that it slows down, but if you resize the browser and have less boxes – it plays fine)… also when trying to view a Youtube video it is so glitchy that you cannot watch the video, however when you resize your browser and view the youtube video in a smaller browser with less boxes it plays smoothly.
Does anyone else experience this problem?
This is why I tested it from your demo site to make sure it wasn’t anything from my side (my hosting).
Regards,
Freddy

August 10, 2012 at 12:11 pm #463869Hmm I tested on the demo and don’t see this problem with either S,M,L or XL. But then I see you’re testing on wide and xtra wide layout. That I’m not sure then, since I’m on HD layout which by right should have more boxes?
August 10, 2012 at 12:27 pm #463871Hi arucardx,
Mmm, can you try resizing your browser and test. Each time I resize it – it has problems with the glitching videos up until extra-wide view, but on tablet and mobile view it is fine. I do not know about hd view.

August 10, 2012 at 12:57 pm #463877Hmmm I resize the browser to test on extra wide and wide and there’s still no problem. I even have the video playing in the pop up while I constantly resize my browser allowing the boxes in the background to glide in and out. Still no glitching videos, the video plays fine.
I’m on the video category though in image mode.
August 10, 2012 at 1:40 pm #463880Aha ok, when you resize your browser did you refresh the page – then clicked to reload a youtube video? If you have the pop-up still running from the HD view pop-up and resize it will play, but try refreshing.

August 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm #463882I tried multiple times to reproduce your problem but I simply don’t see it. May I know what browser are you testing on? Do you see the same problem with a different browser?
August 10, 2012 at 2:04 pm #463884Hi,
I tested on Firefox 14.0.1 and Google Chrome, but still the video loads and playback are very poor unless I resize my browser down.
August 10, 2012 at 2:26 pm #463886…and the same with Internet Explorer 8.0.
What’s the speed of your internet connection?

August 13, 2012 at 6:45 am #463986Hi Freddy
Did you enable JA System Lazyload Plugin ?
Could you send me your website url?
I checked on our demo and find not found issue as you said.Regards,
August 13, 2012 at 11:38 am #464051Hi Hero,
Yes, JA System Lazyload Plugin is enabled on my site… but also I can see the same issues when viewing your demo site that Joomlart has hosted for the wall, it is from the demo site also that this is causing an issue.
When, I view the videos on wide and xtra-wide view, it is soooooo slow. I checked different browsers, I checked at different locations on different broadband services – and still this problem occurs.

August 14, 2012 at 4:14 pm #464204… mmm, interesting – I just checked the demo site using a MacBook on HD resolution./template 1900dpi, the layout and video was working fine.
Mmmm, so it’s just on the other templates for the Wide and Xtra-Wide layouts that this problem happens.
