In JA Decor template there is such option to add a Popup . This is articles category module that using an override layout .If you know the customization in PHP you can edit the file from Open the templatesja_decorhtmlmod_articles_categorytriangle.php . Find view all there is button code to embed popup in it .

It may needs custom work in php , You may try this tutorial of adding modal windows in Bootstrap .

I tried to find the solution but I am afraid it needs heavy customization which is beyond scope of JA support.
You may try to use custom Popup/modal window in article editor via intro text .
