Morning Chaps

Boy is this a complex template!! I made the mistake of not starting with quickstart and I have paid the price for this.

So, I wanted to ask. I have the image slideshow in position “before content” (like yours) and have been trying to add the about us grid in Positions 1 & 2. However, as I have yet to find a definitive map showing all the main module positions I am working blind BUT even so, in my case Position 1 and 2 are showing at the very top of the screen pushing the image slideshow module below this. It therefore looks nothing like your demo site.

Clearly I am doing something wrong here but I don’t know what! Why should Position 1 and 2 be different to your demo?

Lastly, is there a single document showing every module position for reference?

Hi Dave,

You don’t have to work blind module positioning wise. Just go to Extensions -> Template Manager, click on the located in the top right hand side corner button “Options” -> tab “Templates” -> “Preview Module Positions” -> Enable -> Save.

After that you will be able to review your JA Decor template module positions either via Extensions -> Template Manager -> Templates -> JA Decor -> Preview or alternatively via http://www.escapeartiststravel.co.uk/?tp=1.

Also, it would be a good idea to install our JA Decor Quick Start pack into a sub-folder of your main web-site, like /test01/ (obviously, in its own database) and use it as your reference as you go about your main web-site.

Alex – that was genius. Very helpful. Thank you.

Can I ask an additional question, when I use position 1 and 2 for the About Us feature they work as they do on your demo site. However, I don’t think it is good to have About Us right under the slideshow, it should be lower down the page. So I have tried to use the same code in Position 5 and 6 BUT this does not work. Am I missing something? Why woul dit work OK in Position 1 and 2 but not Position 5 & 6.

If you visit http://www.escapeartiststravel.co.uk/ now you can see the problem (bottom of the page). All I have done is swap Position 1 for 5 and 2 for 6.

Hi Alex

Answered my own question. I felt the answer lay in the template manager and behold, it did. It was just a matter of change 4 to 2 for position 5 & 6.
