    One of the big challenges a lot of us face is what banner sizes to offer advertisers. Is there a way to change the layout of Teline III to accommodate the following IAB Ad Units?

    ColMass 1&2 = 330 pixels in width. This would allow me to put a 300 x 250 banner inside with 15 pixels in padding either side.

    Left & Right Columns = 150 pixels in width. This would allow me to put a standard 120 x 600 skyscraper inside with 15 pixels in padding either side.

    Container = 980 pixels in width. This would allow me to put a 950 x 100 panorama inside with 15 pixels in padding either side.

    Your advice would be appreciated.

    Hi jclivingstone

    Open templatesja_teline_iiilayoutsdefault.php file, find following code section:

    $this->_basewidth = 20;

    You can change the value to your idea

    Also, to change this template, you should have a closer look about T3 framework (http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Template_Framework/Guides)

    Ok. That works. when I change it to 15. The problem is that the left border does not move. You will see what I mean at http://www.dailyregister.net

    If you change the default.php file you also need to change

    /* 3 Columns – 2 Columns Right Layout —*/
    #ja-container.ja-r2 .main { background: url(../images/dot.gif) repeat-y 66% 0 #fff; }

    in template.css. Trial and error worked, but I don’t really know how to figure out the exact size. Lucky guess?

    Dear jclivingstone!

    with t3 framework only allow you set a exact width for the template and width of blocks are calculated as a percentage
    pls kindly refer to the wiki

    Good luck

    Hi, your site looks good in Chrome but in Internet Explorer, the lines on the right column are off. I’m having the same problem.

    I think that T3 is too hard to use – very frustrating!

    Dear djenn!

    if you made some changes in the template.css file, you must to make changes in the /templates/ja_teline_iii/css/ie.css also because this file is using for hack style on IE

    Good luck

    Could you tell me how you put the Leaderboard Google ad in that position? I’d like to do the same.

    I would like to copy jclivingstone’s http://www.dailyregister.net site – notice the Google leaderboard size ad in the “Search” module position.

    I also need some direction on the side columns. In the default template, I’d like to have the main body at 60% and col1mass/col2mass at 40% with left sidebar at 25% and right sidebar at 15%. I can get the 40% to work but I cannot get the right/left sidebars to be variable – they are always 1/2 of the col1mass.

    Test site is here: http://www.truthintexas.org

    My main site is here: http://www.bigjolly.com – I need to change it because Disqus crashes Internet Explorer often.
