February 19, 2013 at 3:58 am #483877Hi eclecticus,
I don’t see the slideshow position in your site, how did you install this template – using quickstart or installing template separately? Did you make any change to the layout of this template?

February 19, 2013 at 8:55 am #483893I only changed the css for the k2 categories to show next to each other.
The template is installed with seperate parts, not the quickstart.
The position exists. Only nothing displays in it.
This css is put in custom.css
.logo-image a {
background-repeat: no-repeat;
border: medium none;
height: 50px;
width: 190px;
}.row-fluid {
-moz-box-sizing: border-box;
display: block;
float: left;
margin-left: 1.0142%;
min-height: 30px;
width: 141px;
}div.subCategory {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
width: 141px;
}div.subCategory a.subCategoryImage img, div.subCategory a.subCategoryImage:hover img {
margin: 5px 0;
padding: 0;
width: 48px;
}div.subCategory a.subCategoryImage, div.subCategory a.subCategoryImage:hover {
display: block;
margin: 5px 0;
padding: 20px 0 0 0;
height: 48px;
text-align: center;
}div.subCategory h2 {
font-size: 14px;
margin: 20px 0 0;
padding: 0;
text-align: center;
}div.subCategory h2 a {
color: #444444
font-size: 12px;
transition: all 0.5s ease 0s;
}Is the separate install the problem?
Is it the css?Thanks for your time.

February 20, 2013 at 10:26 am #484027Hi,
Make sure that you assign this module to the menu item of page you want to display: http://www.fotolooman.nl/index2.php/component/k2/itemlist/category/1/. Please check again the Menu assignment section in backend of this module.

February 21, 2013 at 2:16 am #484097Hi,
As I can see, this JA Slideshow Lite module is assigned to Home menu item only, you should create a new menu item for this page: http://www.fotolooman.nl/index2.php/component/k2/itemlist/category/1 which you want to display slideshow module.
BTW, did you install any 3rd party extensions? since when I view your site with Firebug in firefox, check Error tab, there seems to be some conflict in JS of K2 component.

I installed several 3d party extensions.
k2 accordion menu by offlajn.com – enabled
allvideos by joomlaworks.net – enabled
simple image gallery pro by joomlaworks.net – enabled
frontpage slide show by joomlaworks.net – enabledjust installed
jquery easy by simplifyyourweb.com – enabled
solved the jquery issues in k2 for as far as i can see.Thanks in advance.

February 21, 2013 at 12:35 pm #484161When I add ?tp=1 to the url it shows the position slideshow.
If i change the height to 500px it changes to 500px, even the background can be changed.I just can not figure out why nothing is displayed in the container or div.

February 22, 2013 at 7:20 am #484228Hi
It doesn’t show because it was not assigned to the menu item of that page. In joomla, in order view a module in a page, you need to publish it and assign to menu item of that page. I set to show ‘On all pages’ in Menu assignment section of this JA SLideshow Lite module and it’s showing now.
Hope you get the idea 🙂

February 22, 2013 at 9:02 am #484240Then you need to assign it to ‘Home’ menu item and make sure that the template style (in template manager) which used in homepage must have that slideshow position

It is exactly as you describe.
I thought I was misunderstanding the whole. But it is oke.Last weekend I tried to figure out wat it is precisely what it is going on.
Everything I tried was not ruling out what was causing the problem.Finaly I put the shop live in the middel of the night to see what would happen.
And there it was. It is using the index2.php.
Somehow someway it requires everywhere index.php.
For testing an index2.php is no good.Thanks for your time and effort.
