After installing the template, I used the minify settings in the parameters of the template, things worked great. However as the cache builds, it starts to distort pages, as in double lines, images not showing. But the fix is when the cache is cleaned, the page restores to its previous look. I have went through disabled everything, from system settings to cache and have pinpointed the issue to being the template cache system causing the issue and with the cache disable the site seems to load much faster. Thanks in advance.

September 4, 2011 at 4:34 pm #410507Hi,
You login backend > Extensions > Template Manager > ja_teline_iv > Css & Javascript Compress. Optimize CSS to NoSeptember 4, 2011 at 4:54 pm #410509No I disabled the cache near the developer option. The css and js are still set to minify and compress and it works fine. But with the cache setting on, it distorts webpages after awhile. I just wanted to bring this to the developers attention as to how I resolved my issue and possibly anyone else that may have the trouble. Website speed increased immensely.

September 4, 2011 at 5:12 pm #410515Could you give me ftp and backend information to check your problem?
September 4, 2011 at 5:23 pm #410522Hi khoand, It’s on a live site but I’ve resolved the issue by disabling cache mode in the template. I do have the css and js minify enableb and the template performs fine. What happens when the cache is enabled, is that at first the content appears fine then after about 15 minutes or so many views the content moves down the page, images do not appear, links seem to have doubled, almost overlapping. I can correct it by clearing the cache each time it happens to correct it but the site performs better without the template cache enabled and I do not get these errors. I just wanted to bring this to the attention of the developers and possibly help anyone that maybe experiencing this. I can if you’d like, take screen shots of what is going on to maybe help out in what I am saying. Thank you for your reply.
September 5, 2011 at 2:11 am #410628After some more tinkering, I’ve narrowed the issue down to the t-3 file (not t-3 assets). For whatever reason, that file builds to over 1,100 files before distorting webpages. By enabling development mode, it prevents this file from building at all, the other functions still work. Hope this helps.

September 6, 2011 at 10:40 pm #411075In that case in all likelyhood one of the extensions that you have installed must be conflicting with the compression. You can disable iptimization on a per component basis or on a per css file basis. It will be a bit of a trial and error experience but I think this will be the only way you can still have the compressions and have your site remain in tact. Sites installed from the quickstart do not appear to suffer nor do the many thousands of other sites using this tempate we have so far. That leads me to believe it must be in likelyhood be a component conflict unique to your site.

September 6, 2011 at 10:58 pm #411076OOps wrong post I replied to, sorry about that. I still have the compression issue with the settings in the template and I’ve disabled all else. My workaround was using a third party extention, however its no big deal as it works fine.
