I am having an issue when I search through items on my site I lose my current profile and go to the default one. If I assign the com_search component to a profile then the profile stays. Is is possible for me to assign the com_search component to all my profiles?

If not is there another way to keep the profile consistent when browsing through search results?

Tell me how did you assign the com_search? I didnt get the idea how you did it.
By the way, when I tested the search page, I saw the layout is the same with homepage, whats wrong here? Please let me know.

Hi, thanks for the response.

I am using the profile override settings under the Global tab of the template. In there it lets me assign com_search to a profile. When I do this it solves my profile issues when searching, but the problem is I can only assign it to one profile. The problem happens not when you search but when you click through a search result or search for a second time. That’s when I get my default profile which is basically just a blank template. What I need to happen is each profile keeps their same profile when using the search feature. Do you think that is possible? Or am I trying to do something this template framework isn’t meant to be used for?

Turning on SEF in joomla globals has solved this problem
