I have a article category that has many articles. this category has a menu item. instead of assigning Ja builder template to the whole category articles via menu setting, I only want to assign builder blocks to some of the articles. each article will have different blocks.
is there a way to achieve this without creating menu items for each of the articles?

February 8, 2017 at 7:45 am #1008975No, not working for me as I tested.
I am using the megastore template for this category. By default the template does not support Ja builder page. so at the article page, there is no Ja builder edit icon shown at all, unless I change the whole category menu to a builder page layout newly created in megastore template by following your document.
I don’t want the whole category articles to use the Ja builder layout, but only one of the articles in that category without using menu item for each articles that needs Ja Builder.

February 8, 2017 at 8:47 am #1008995Hi,
The Joomla workflow is that, each page can use 1 template only and to add a builder content block to a page, the page has to be assigned to JA Builder template. In your case, if you use JA Megastore template for the page, then you can not add builder content block unfortunately.

February 8, 2017 at 12:40 pm #1009078Why can’t merge the builder layout code into megastore default layout so that I can add blocks easily to the article I want?

February 9, 2017 at 10:27 am #1009301Hi,
At this moment, you can use JA Builder with JA Megastore template as our demo page here: https://www.joomlart.com/ja-builder – which is using a T3 template, where the header & footer sections are from the template and we use JA Builder to add block in the main content part. However, for specific like above is impossible unfortunately.
I will pass to the team for further consideration.

February 14, 2017 at 7:13 am #1010401Hi,
I’m afraid that it’s not possible now, you must select JA Builder template style to be able to add block for specific article.

April 3, 2017 at 2:12 am #1024075Hi,
You can create a new page with menu item type of JA Builder page, then assign JA Megastore to this page: http://prntscr.com/erqcfh
It then will have header + footer from JA Megastore template, the main part will be blocks from JA Builder.
Let me know if you need further helps.
Regards
