We are a travel website and I’m currently trying out Purity III.
Joomla is located in a subdirectory (en) of our root homepage: http://www.[domain]/en/. We do this so that our homepage, which is a static non-Joomla webpage, will display no matter what happens to our Joomla pages such as a 500 error. Accordingly, people can still book their travel reservations from our homepage (they go to a non-Joomla server) if our Joomla system has technical problems.
1) I’m wonder if there is a way for us to use the Purity III templating system to create and/or export a static but responsive html page to use as our homepage (of course, without including any Joomla features such as modules)?
2) Otherwise, I was looking at JA Builder. It would seem that we might be able to create a separate Joomla homepage installed in our root that wouldn’t be susceptible to 500 errors that might be caused by all of the myriad of components and modules operating in the /en/ directory of our site. Would that be a better option?
Appreciate your recommendations.
Thanks. — Rik
