Is there a possibility of adding a feature with Joomla Extension Manager which allows you to selectively exclude specific folders or files from being considered in comparisons?

Example Scenario:

JA Nex Template Update

I only have one theme color I ever plan to use with a specific site and want to be able to exclude all the other theme color folders just to reduce additional server resources overtime.

I am afraid at this moment, no upgrade plan is in place yet and actually it’s hard to add that feature. For now, the update tends to handle the bug fixes and a few optimisation to save server resources only.
