    Hi,
I’m trying to use JA Mero, I have installed it but following installation I am getting the error:
“JError: Cannot create css cached file in development folder: t3-assets/dev” on the front end but I can access the backend.

I noticed that in the “Directory permissions” all the directories are “Unwritable” so I changed them the permissions to 775 and they are now writable.

I am still getting the same error in the front-end and I’m unsure how to continue. The JA Mero download I used is for Joomla 2.5 (as my host hasn’t updated to PHP 5.3).

I noticed it was similar to this thread but I wasn’t certain what the poster was saying to do: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/error-500-cannot-create-css-cached-file/

    Any ideas?

    Regards,
    Rob

    Hi Rob,

He said that he remove the dot in the name of template (he may change the default name) and it solved problem and you can give it a try.

For permission, the default value is: files: 644 and folders: 755. It’s better if you ask your hosting provider for help since your web account may have not permission to change it.

Hi Saguaros, thanks for the reply. I think it was permission related, specifically the tmp directory, not sure why.

It’s had a knock on effect, there’s a whole ton of stuff failing.

Please try to contact your hosting provider for help with this kind of permission issue

    Best Regards
