Hi and first let me say thanks for this forum.
My suggestion is to have the template description completed at the same time the template is announced. I think by doing so it would make the announcement much more professional.
Twice a month I see that the new template is announced. First thing I do is check it out on the demo server. I flip throught the pages and features. After I have looked around I go to the Joomlart home page to see what the designers were going for and see the module positions essentially get a little more information about the new template.
The past several months there has been a delay in seeing the write up. This make me think that Joomlart is very behind and not as professional as they could be. If joomlart is running behind you do not want your customers to see that. If there is a reason for this It might be good to tell people why the delay in the template description.
It is a small thing but I think it would be nice to see the template description posted at the same time as the template is released.
Not trying to cause a problem just thought I could give you a customers prospective to assist Joomlart with new template announcements.
Hope this helps!

July 12, 2008 at 7:39 pm #259441Yeah, it is almost a novel idea in this place.
By the way, intownwebdesign, we are not making fun of your post — we have been clamoring for that for like forever. If Joomlart staff read your post and take it to heart, we would be eternally grateful to you.
Oh another thing, did you notice you have an unlicensed member under your name?

Thanks for the reply. We will see what happens. All you can do is ask. 🙂
Not sure about the unlicense member. I saw that when you pointed it out.
Now when I look a the page is shows a licensed.
I have paid up for several years. Is there anything else I need to do?
Thanks!

It was showing “Unlicensed” when I first looked. I was surprised because this is a private, for members only Forum section. So, I thought it must have been a mixed up.
That happened to me when I first came back, but it got corrected, after I posted the error.
Your designation has changed. 🙂
I was busy roasting another member:
Templates look fine, its the service that needs work
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/templates-look-fine-its-the-service-that-needs-work/because as much as I have my disagreements with Joomlart, he was quite arrogant.

Thank you for your nice feedback. In fact we intend to announce it together with the stable release. For Labra, it should have been out today if we had not encountered some found bug. However, I agree that we should post the news on the same day of release, at least. And it will be implemented at all upcoming templates.
Thank you once again

July 14, 2008 at 3:36 pm #259702also Hung while we’re on the subject,
can we please have a detailed breakdown of the features of the templates / any bugfixes that are made once the template is made stable or even updated etc.
This information helps us understand why we should update our templates and be aware of possible problems we may experience. It also allows us active members to help others who have problems here on the forum.
Thanks
Anis
