September 21, 2009 at 4:00 pm #144450Hello,
I am looking for a product to replace the WebScribble jobs board, and I really like the look of this product, but I have a few questions before I can commit to a purchase. The jobs site I administrate is a free jobs site: there are no charges for posting jobs or viewing CVs; JA Jobs Board seems to make heavy use of “Premium jobs”, I wondered can this be completely disabled so that the users don’t even know the functionality is there? IE: So that the word “Premium” does not appear anywhere on the front-end?
On the site I run, we have a random employer logo appear on the home page each time it is reloaded. Is this possible? Can I make it so that new accounts default to “Featured employer”?
It looks like the software does not handle apostrophes in input fields very well. I can see that in certain places, the text simply cuts off at the first apostrophe (halfway through a word). As a programmer, I know that this is a simple matter of proper input sanitisation – replacing apostrophes with ' (' does not render as an apostrophe in internet exploder).
Can you assure me that this will be fixed soon? Also can you guarantee that this does not present a SQL injection vulnerability? Also: Once purchased, is the product ours for life? I believe that it comes with a year of support and upgrades, but does the product stop working after a year, or just the support contract?
Thank you in advance

Yes, you can disable the paid & premium option, about the premium you can renamed it as Featured job (important job decided by admin)

On the site I run, we have a random employer logo appear on the home page each time it is reloaded. Is this possible?”?

This options is a module features not the core component features. Currently we have employers list module with 2 options: features & latest, we can provide the random feature in the next release 1.2.4 within this September 09

To be check & fix in 1.2.4 release

Also: Once purchased, is the product ours for life? I believe that it comes with a year of support and upgrades, but does the product stop working after a year, or just the support contract?

Yes, the license is for life, 1 year for the support + upgrade. Buying more support + upgrade download is optional. We have not decided on price of the annual support + upgrade but I believe it will be very reasonable
Please let me know if you have any questions

September 22, 2009 at 11:01 am #318095Ok, that all sounds good, I am a little concerned that the premium jobs functionality will still be available to users though.
I’ve been trying to disable it on the cloned demo site, but it still seems to be displaying the option on the front-end. How do I disable the option?
