I think the JA Norite light colors would look great in this template. And the black color in Norite is much deeper and richer than the washed-out gray.

That’s a great idea. Norite has some nice colour tones.
Wow, seems like there are plenty of like-minded people around that would like some more colour variations. Especially pastel /light versions.
Keep the original vibrant colours though, add some pastel variations and it would be perfect. 🙂Here’s some reference: http://themeforest.net/theme_previews/101197-flowhub
Love the colours.August 30, 2010 at 9:04 pm #354162@lpeet01 191729 wrote:
This looks really good guys, great work! One thing I would recommend is to have the login/logout on the top right very similar to your site so it follows you in all menus.

Yes that is a big value addition…the current template of joomlart.com website is the best ever template by Joomlart:)

Look at this concept, you can see a quick top navigation where you can put login/logout…
It would be nice if you can save some space for this login and logout area by exactly replicating what we have in joomlart.com.
Thanks
August 31, 2010 at 4:26 am #354188Great Template!
I have a probably stupid question, I assume we will have to buy JomSocial to use that, will there be any discounts?
August 31, 2010 at 6:55 am #354199WOW, this will be the best template for JomSocial, It looks sensational – we all fall in love in it, You will see.
I have only one suggestion to put slide login form like you have on top on Joomlart web page !!!
p.s.
Why on forum screenshot you have Fireboard not Kunena forum, I don’t get it.Greetings from Poland

August 31, 2010 at 3:03 pm #354259This is a Fantastic Design!
I want to give a lot of credit to Hung and the entire JoomlArt team for what they’ve been doing lately with the T3 v2 Framework, 3 templates in August and all the Extensions they’ve been putting out.
Have you guys gotten new Designers? It seems like with the new JoomlArt design and these upcoming templates (I know the bonus was from a member with the Contest) that you’re headed down a little different creative path, which I like very much. I think Template Clubs need to start heading down more of the Web 2.0 look and feel like:

Hung already answered this above.
It does not mean we don’t support Kunena. Both Kunena and Agora has great team behind… It is like the story of Jomsocial and Community Builder last year. The only reason we don’t support Kunena at this time is that they are still in RC release, let’s wait until they are stable then we can consider to support both components

August 31, 2010 at 4:06 pm #354266Great design – really super and fresh looking. I would ask, like others, for the login / logout in the traditional top right hand corner of the site just like your own site joomlart.com because it seems the place where people look to login and out of social networks these days.

August 31, 2010 at 5:51 pm #354279I really agree with thatcomputerdude – especially looking at jetsuite.tv – it’s just perfect for a business website.
Assuming that a lot of smaller businesses might specialise in 2 or 3 service areas, what you want is the most compelling way to present a small number of services as cleanly as possible on the home page, and then as simply as possible inside.
You probably don’t want twitter feeds, polls, extra modules and what not – you want a very simple way to present simple information to your clients as simply as possible.
I know it’s possible to modify templates to achieve any look you want, but it would be so nice if there were more templates on the internet that are a simple, compact, compelling website for small businesses with maybe only 5-6 pages on their site, some pictures, quotes and a video.
That’s not to say Joomlart templates arent perfect for small businesses – but rather I don’t think there is any template anywhere that seems just right in every way for a small or niche business with a small number of services.

August 31, 2010 at 10:45 pm #354299Hi Smitheringdale,
I understand your wish, but don’t understand why you would think that templates would have to be simplified in order to create such a website. You see, the website you refer to probably isn’t, but might well be one of Joomlart’s. What I think you let yourself be fooled by, are the huge amount of positions, menu items, pages and gadgets that are displayed in the demo’s.
I have had several clients complaining about this as well, when I showed them some useful templates for their businesses. “I don’t have so much copy to fill that?!” they would complain to me, for example. What I explain is that the style or type of template is a starting point and that we can do anything we like with it. So, if they – or you – want little info, that’s what it will be. In the way you like it. That’s what these templates are for. And with basic Joomla knowledge you can do this yourself. That’s Joomla. Great stuff to play with and not difficult to learn.
Hope this helps you. 🙂
Cheers,
Tom1 user says Thank You to antoniu1 for this useful post
