September 1, 2009 at 10:59 am #315983Joomla Art does it again. Congratulations for improving one of the best templates in the Joomla universe.
Hung Dinh…when are you going to have your company listed on NASDAQ ?
At the rate you are going, we should all be buying shares of Joomla Art.
Keep it up.The BEST IS YET TO BE!

September 1, 2009 at 12:15 pm #315989I would like to see a darker area in the bottom/footer area. That would really pop against the white body background. If the template could have a bit more on the styling (graphic) aspect, it would be awesome. Most news site tend to be boring. Hope that some color can be added.

September 1, 2009 at 2:16 pm #315993The original Teline II antagonist is back for Teline III! : )
Well done Hung. I look forward to upgrading.

September 1, 2009 at 2:17 pm #315994Probably the only thing I shall still be missing, as always, is the module (s) position (s) for adverts above header. You know, as most of news websites do. Otherwise, it seems pretty cool, not for the desing which is so similar to old Teline (clean, which is superb), but for capacities, even those connected to smart phones!

I absolutely agree with this. Advertising is the lifeblood of every news site, yet so few templates are designed with advertising space as a priority. At a minimum I’d love to see a 468×60 advert position in the header and possibly a 728×90 above the header in this template.
Hung, it’s a royal pain for us non-tech folks but would take five minutes for you guys to incorporate prior to release. Would you be willing to add these positions for us?

September 1, 2009 at 2:51 pm #316001Hello,
Is there a reason why all js and css files are not compressed or optimized in for each download package? Also, it would be nice if js files could be loaded from the bottom of the page. I found that the optimization module from Shape 5 is very interesting and worth looking at – feedback, comments? Thanks for all of your hard work and great templates!

September 1, 2009 at 4:38 pm #316013teetide,
I think we should wait and see what the new template engine does and how configurable it is before worrying about that.
As pointed out, it is quite easy to add a module position. If you do decide to use this template and want to do that just ask and I or someone on here will only be too glad to help.

September 1, 2009 at 4:55 pm #316016Dear JA Members,
Looking towards your anxiety and my commitment to provide the Demo of Teline III by 2nd Sept. I am releasing the Teline III Beta Demo. Same can be viewed here > http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_teline_iii/
It also has the “Reset User Setting” at the right bottom to reset the frontend settings. There are still many things left to work out and finalize, Developer team is working hard to sort out the left out problems.
I shall keep updating the demo and hope to release the Beta Download in the coming days.
Hung.

Phill…with all due respect, I stand by my request for something I believe should be included in this template out of the box. If it doesn’t get included, I’ll certainly take you up on your very gracious offer of help.
Warmest regards.

September 1, 2009 at 7:54 pm #316045I know this is beta, but it seems that the text on the menu bar is really hard to read. Not as crisp as the other areas. Also, I guess news sites are practical, but I wonder how this will look without all of the text and images. It seems to be missing some color/graphical elements. Just my 2 cents, but it seems kind of bland to me, unless you have tons of news stories.

Noticed a little bug in the image attached with the menus conflicting.
Just checked this out on my iphone and it’s beautiful! Much love Hung!

Thanks for your report. As said by Mr. Hung… this is beta release and JA has its own set of bugs to fix for now, your report will be forwarded to the Developers for a closer look.
Positive inputs such as yours will help in a stable release at an early date.
Arvind
