I doubt they are going to release anything this week, and it is even optimistic that they will release anything next week. Based from the Demo and the discovered bugs, they have some work to do still.

If you have to finish everything next week, then go with the Teline II. If you have never used Teline II before, this will give you a chance to familiarize yourself with how a news-magazine template works. It is slightly more complex than the usual Joomlart templates. You may use this Teline II as a Sandbox to create a mock layout. Most of it would translate to the Teline III.

But, have all your articles in “html format” already, including titles, etc.. Do this as well with your sections, categories nicely mapped out. Have all your images optimized, and properly categorized into neat directories in the “images” directory.

The goal is to have identical paraller partial URL with their use in the Teline III site. If you create parallel layout and format, including parallel URL for the images used, you do not have to revise any of the contents of the articles in “html format”, Unless you have thousands of articles, it should take a few days manual migration.

There might be a better way for a much easier migration of articles from Teline II to Teline III. I do not know, that was why I posted:

Based from the initial post of Hung, more than likely, it is around the 2nd or 3rd week of September 2009. If they release it during the second full week, it is still too close for your deadline. If on the third full week of September, then it is past your deadline.

Consider some of my suggestions in my response to dumindard. That is what I am doing now, and at the same time, trying to study the Demo and provide as many suggestions as I can to improve it. Find bugs if you can.

I think it is best if Joomlart take enough time to discover all the bugs and those coming from the reports by Members, and resolve them before any release for download. We all should help there, and other improvements.

In April 2008, they released the Teline II with quite a number of bugs, it took several months to resolve many of them before a stable Teline II was realized. Tempers flared on both sides — not very good. Waste of time and energy for all.

We do not want that to happen with Teline III.

Good preliminary preps. I have been waiting for this for more than a year now. Doing the same as you. I am going a step further by hiring someone to add more functionalities that Teline III does not still have, based from the Demo. I hope in the next iterations, Joomlart will include more of what I need so that I do not have keep on paying someone else.

Just wondering… since we are in September now and T3 is supposed to be the template of this month, is it going to be released at the beggining of the month or towards the end?

We’ve had a lot of these posts – and we just don’t know! Demo came out this week so any bugs can be resolved asap to ensure that the release is as bug free and any problems smoothed out as soon as possible so the release isn’t as problematic as many others where in the past.

Better to hang about a few days and save EVERYONE a lot of aggravation than to release it early and have everyone annoyed by the bugs, right?

Good to see you after a long time. Teline III is August template, delayed due to new framework and additional extensions. The beta download should be available tomorrow, if all goes well.
