I hope JA is not thinking that Teline IV is more important than this one. It only seems that way because JA asked for suggestions – and people ALWAYS have a trillion suggestions.. LOL So that makes it seem that Teline IV is more important, while it might very well not be true.

JA community Plus is one of a kind and there is no comparison in Joomla land yet. That would be a good reason to put much attention on this one.

Well, killing time here in the meanwhile… 😉

Can someone from Joomlart give us an update on JA Community? We were told it would be coming out in the middle of September but it never did. I think it will be very helpful for members to know when they can expect the template.

This is not a regular template but a bonus template, so there’s no reason to think it would be out by then. Even though it might.

But it was annouched as a bonus template for August, 2010, then promised in the middle of September. We are now approaching October. While I appreciate the update by Arvind, the info he provided wasl vague and 4 days have passed since that update. For those members who have presented the concept to clients, it puts them in a very awkward position. Hung Dihn has always been very good in giving timeframes we can plan around. This template seems to be contiunally hanging out there.

I think people are just looking for an accurate timeframe, whatever it may be. Not an unreasonable request.

i think maybe this template will be realeased at the end of next month

because joomlart don’t release drupal template this month,magento template this month,and so many extensions’ bugs need to fix,

so joomlart’s timeline is often delay

just wait ,i laso like this template.

Hi guys,

We are all eagerly awaiting the template. As Arvind has promised, it will be out soon. This means that it won’t take a month.

However, as they need to build this based upon Ja Social, which has been causing problems, this template is delayed.

Also, if JA is really going to replicate this template as designed – which I really want them to!! – they are bound to run into several problems, as the design has some challenges of it’s own. Making this design work with it’s different page configurations, not just the one frontpage you saw here, is somewhat of a challenge 😉

The link to the complete design package you can find in one of my earlier posts in this thread. Take a look at the different pages that belong to the design, and you’ll see what I mean.

If JA decides to drop all other pages and only focuses on the one simple frontpage as given by JA, I do not see much reason for any delay. It’s only because of the extensive design for different pages that belong together, like the video, image slideshow pages and left column menu design that should use ajax, that it’s a challenge.

Maybe the better solution is not to use templates that haven’t been released as concepts to show clients? I’m not trying to lecture you, I understand that this might be a great fit for an upcoming project.

This is a Bonus template – JA did us all a favor to even tell us and show us what is coming in the future. It’s not really fair complain because something hasn’t been released as fast as some of us feel it should have. In all reality, none of us know what’s going on behind the scenes, nor is it our business to know.

Lets just be happy with the fantastic products JA develops for us to use, which makes our jobs easier. I understand it can be frustrating, I’m very critical of the template clubs that I’m a member of because I wan’t them to get good honest feedback, but lets not go overboard.

I understand what your saying but I see it differently. It is our business to know, because we pay for their product and service. The point I was trying to make, and may have failed, is that in the past JA has been very good at keeping their customers up to date on a project regardless of the delay. If this template is still 2 weeks out, so be it, but at least people know what to expect. We all run into glitches that delay projects, it’s the nature of beast, just asking for a timeframe. JA is so much better than other clubs at doing this, that is what is surprising about this template.

My experience with JA products and their customer service has been exceptional and am glad to be a member. I just think people would be happier if the info was a little more specific instead of being told the template will be out soon. Not unreasonable and I don’t think it is a complaint but a request.

You do make an excellent point about showing unreleased templates to clients.
