May 26, 2010 at 11:29 pm #344842I agree with the above comment.
BUT, i’m disappointed because you can’t really modify the template so it rests well with YOUR own theme of the site… to modify, means to change the core fundamentals… so that it fits in anyway.
What i like about this template is that of course its made for political background, but you can EASILY change the code and make it work for a variety of themes…
nice, simple, and most important; modifiable.
Cheers 😀

The “you can EASILY change the code and make it work for a variety of themes.” its true in every template made with T3 Framework.
But the latest Joomlart.com templates arent as good in design and UI as other joomla template clubs (do its framework its the best one).
bye 😀

I’m not saying that its hard to modify the code… by far, its the easiest.
I’m just simply saying that with the new templates (past few months)
you’ll me making changes soo much that in the end, you’ll probably be changing
the WHOLE theme to make it fit with your content, background etc etc..but,
we may be agreeing in terms of the end results.Omar Ramos JAECOmar Ramos

May 27, 2010 at 5:07 pm #344955I was just wondering about when JA was thinking about adding in Joomla 1.6 support for their templates?
As the beta for 1.6 gets more polished, I’ll be looking into immediately using it for our college’s new site and of course I’m going to need a spiffy 1.6 compatible template to go with it :-).

May 27, 2010 at 7:49 pm #344964Beautiful work! And I love it that you continue to support the K2 component.
Does the Latest Events slide module at the top of homepage display K2 articles? That would be truly awesome!

The template engine for 1.6 is still being finalised so it is a little pointless to build a template for it until then. I expect that templates will begin to appear once the RC stage has been reached.

May 28, 2010 at 7:05 pm #345122I think many of you are missing something with this template. It has a huge array of features with superb K2 integration and an awesome menu. The background graphics, logo, module backgrounds etc are simple to change. Any web dev or even any beginner who wants to put a small amount of effort in can and should change those. Would you want your site to look like the thousands of others out there? I know I wouldn’t want to just change a logo then slap my own data in. Joomla Art provide the basic engine and a **** good one it is. Let your imagination flow and make something special.

May 28, 2010 at 9:16 pm #345128With the exception of all the obama crap, this looks like a great, simple template. I think sometimes it’s better to simplify the templates to be customizable rather than to overdesign them and have to rip out a bunch of design elements you don’t want.
