It would be perfect, include a position on the right, at the top, for mod_notify of Jomsocial…
Thanks

But given your “the template concept does not allow flexibility” comment. Wouldn’t it be better to say no to a lot of extra work on this 1 off design, and direct resources to something less difficult to modify, thus saving all those things that can go wrong and thousands of support questions that will follow?
Guess I’m saying you have presented something unique in form and function, get it working perfectly first of all and don’t destroy it’s look and feel by adding too much in the way of extras, know when in this case to stop and leave it alone?
Blessings Shannon</blockquote>I love it when JoomlArt leave the safe zone and venture into something totally new … but it’s even better when it’s also something quite functional

Please, include extra provisions. Gallery, portfolio, blog … Only one provision appears to me too reductive
And include gallery (for articles or not)
And option for Facebook commentsThe navigation seems easy, but it should not be easy to find old things … seems to me a sort of bottomless hole, where everything falls is lost.
I like everything well organized and easy to find…And maybe include modules for Latest articles, Popular Articles, etc..
One position to the right for the Facebook module.Anyway, something more organized and social…
Thanks</blockquote>
I agree with the Gallery component, that would be great. Without the articles, just a quality gallery component for displaying different gallerys of images.
As well, I couldn’t agree more with all the comments about K2. Drop that trashy component and never look back. It causes sites to be unstable and brutally slow for little benefit.

I am wondering if it is worthy to do a version with 2/3 of article’s width and also to have the possibility to show the intro text after the title…</blockquote>
How about a screenshot with illustration? It would be easier for the team to understand the request.

</blockquote>We will try to include few empty module positions on the top / footer (desktop version) but they will not be demonstrated on the demo site and only the logo position would be available in the mobile / responsive layout. Hope that will work out for you.

May 29, 2013 at 10:08 am #494292The Demo has been updated : http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_smashboard/
it now features the responsive layouts and component layout is now improved : http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_smashboard/registration.html , thats how any 3rd party extension would look like. Feel free to give feedback, we will try to improve as much as possible.
Office will remain close from today till 2nd June 2013 and we would resume support and other activities from 3rd June 2013.
Regards
Arvind

May 30, 2013 at 11:30 am #494363What I meant by less width in articles was partially done… 🙂
Inside the red rectangle, it is nice to show 1 or 2 lines from the articl’s intro text

May 30, 2013 at 11:57 pm #494396I hope it’s easy to change the font color, because almost need to wear glasses to get read. I do not understand this fad sources semi erased…
I can not see
I’m very worried, and wondering: is it just me that have this problem? Am I losing my vision? Do other people have a super view? Does any day sources will be invisible because people are developing a look with xray?? I am very worried!-

I have a good experience with Jomsocial :)</blockquote>I guess my comments referred to the ever changing nature of JomSocial, like every other week they release a bug fix that then triggers other problems with many 3rd party stuff. especially JA styling that needs to be JomSocial version specific almost to work.
It’s never a fixed final version long enough to do what I want it to do without constant maintenance.
I’m glad you have a trouble free implementation however when I look at just the JS v 3. Status blog and the problems ppl are finding and the lack of real progress in some major security areas backs up my assertion that its a bug ridden poorly designed piece of junk hurriedly thrown together to fill a niche, pretty much like K2 there was a need, there is not anything as popular or better so ppl (choose to) put up with a less than perfect extension just for the sake of getting something happening.
Cheers Shannon

The team Jomsocial changed recently (before, were Asian and now are Americans). And is coming JomSocial 3.0, which promises to be more stable and interesting…
