May 13, 2009 at 5:51 pm #304558For those who are new here as well as new to Jomsocial + Kunena (formerly known as Fireboard and also introduced in JA Sanidine II), you can see a good sample of JomSocial + Kunena integration
Linux mainsite (using JA Vauxite)

May 13, 2009 at 10:24 pm #304578Absolutely stunning – you’ve done a great job with the menu by the looks of things and you’ve created a great template, your back on track and your back on top!

May 14, 2009 at 2:27 am #304588I question when I feel it’s deserved and always give credit when it’s due.
JA deserves some credit this month – great job.

May 14, 2009 at 8:28 am #304599In my opinion JomSocial would fit much better in with JA Beryl than this template.
Beryl is a much more ‘funky’ looking site witch I think would suit a community theme better. Sulfur is a little to business looking to be a community site.
Both nice sites though. I think JA Beryl will be very popular.

May 14, 2009 at 3:16 pm #304639beta 1.2 is already running on the Kunena.com forum, and being a Jomsocial license holder i know its very soon, maybe 1.2 will be out even before this theme is done.

May 14, 2009 at 3:25 pm #304640That’s awesome to know, thanks for the info! I just logged into my JomSocial account to check what version I can download (since im a license holder) and it was the 1.1.45
Do they have documentation up about what is going to be added/different/changed from 1.1.45 to 1.2?
Thanks!

May 14, 2009 at 4:59 pm #304650Hey Hung —
You should also check out what Agora is doing. They just released their Agora Olympus forum, and are shortly releasing ‘Agora Groups’, which has some similarities to JomSocial.
Also, they have a discussbot that is out – the commercial one is coming in 2-3 weeks – that does what jomComment does but allows users to post comments in both the forum or in the article and the two co-exist. (Way cool!)
They also have ‘Agora Latest’ which displays lastest forum posts on the front page. There is a Kunena one available, but it is not very good — very limited and is a 3rd party extension. 🙁
The Agora team is working on the complete package..whereas as with Kunena, they don’t appear to be interested in anything other than their forum.
And no, I don’t work for Agora, but have been actively playing with both extensions for some time now.
Furthermore, the Agora support team is 2nd to none. If I am Joomlart this would be a major consideration to me.Agora will leave Kunena in the dust.

May 14, 2009 at 6:18 pm #304651It has been a couple of months since I really fancied using one of the new templates but this one really catches my eye. I cannot wait to see a working version as this looks fantastic and perfect for something I have in mind.
Well done.
