It will be released for JA next week so don’t worry.
June 14, 2009 at 10:32 am #307865Hi, I’m a Joomla Club member and have been highly anticipating the release of JA Sulfur with the jomsocial. Now I’m confused. Is it going to be available for Joomla Club Members or only Magento members?

June 14, 2009 at 11:08 am #307868Hey, thanks, Phill. It’s 4 am here in California, so I guess I don’t have my sherlock holmes hat on. LOL. Do you have any idea on when JA Sulfur is going to be released? 🙂

If I had my sarcastic hat on I would respond with “yes, I do have an idea”
If I had my grumpy hat on I would say “stop being a lazy git and search back through this very thread where it had been mentioned many times, do you expect to be spoon fed and for me to do all the work for you”
Fortunately I have no hat on today so if Hung is true to his word the demo will be out on the 15th with the release a couple of days later.

There are 2 templates:
– JM Sulfur for Magento (only for Magento members)
– JA Sulfur for Joomla (only for Joomla members)Concerning JomSocial, it will NOT be included in the Joomla template (as it is a commercial extension) but the Joomlart team said they negciated a discount for Joomlart members to be announced with the release.

And Yes, JomSocial is a JOOMLA extension so it will be only available in the Joomla template.

LOL People should eat their hat asking this kind of questions :p
We waste our time repeating the same stuff and may finish completely naked giving all to this forum… but at least we can “leave our hat on”.;)

June 15, 2009 at 10:36 am #307961Very nice template. Well done.
On the JA-News layout you have the readmore link and the titles link to the article. It would be nice if the image would link too. I have adjusted the code (thanks to scotty) on another template with a similar layout and it works well as you can see here ( http://www.windwise.net )
Also the images. They all have a nice border effect which appears to have been applied in advance. If this is the case, most users will not have the skills or tools to do this, surely it could be done with css?

June 15, 2009 at 1:42 pm #307983First bug (and probably something you cannot do much about), in compatability mode on IE8, the jomsocial page gets screwed up. Works fine in plain IE8 though.

Hi Phil, can you share that code with us?
i agree regarding the images… it would be great if it could automatically be handled through css.
June 15, 2009 at 3:56 pm #307990How are the others able to test the Sulfur, I can’t even find the dl link.
If its only open to testers, can the regular members at least have access to the psd files, so that we can work on the layout, in the meantime?

Here is the thread where scotty does his magic.http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/making-images-linkable/
Similar code is used in most of the recent frontpage layouts so works with many of them.

June 15, 2009 at 4:12 pm #307994The first picture should not be so great, should leave a space for pictures of users (integrated into Jomsocial) and hope that users can also post photos in the Gallery. In the last two weeks I have been obsessively looking for a template to build a community of images with jomsocial and forum … You ended my search. Thank you. I just signed another year because I love your work 😀
I apologize for my bad english 🙂
