December 9, 2008 at 5:31 pm #282032Hung what is the chance of having the log-in module in the header or hidden away?

December 9, 2008 at 5:44 pm #282033scotty;94390Well when I said it was great to see 6 versions, like YOOtheme, in the first reply, what I meant was 6 completely different versions. Same layout and structure but 6 completely different sets of images, CSS, and subject themes. Judging from the screenies of the headers, they are only mildly different.
Scotty,
Are you looking at another YOOtheme website than I do?? What I see on YOOtheme is exactly the same as here. The same template, but only with other color-variations and/or background-image. Or maybe I am looking at the wrong templates??

December 9, 2008 at 6:30 pm #282035No that’s the one I am talking about Peter.
I find with the different versions with Joomlart themes that there are only subtle differences, usually just colour changes, but with YOOtheme the changes are greater and make the templates look completely different.
JA did this with the 3 versions of Uvite but they need to do it more often and with more variations.
A negative point for YOOtemplates is that they are very JavaScript heavy!
Also, as I have redeemed for a Developer License, I would like to see more extensions being released by Joomlart.

I can agree partly with you. They have more variations, but it is mainly done with the background-picture, like JA did with the Uvite. I also agree with you that they are heavily Javascripted. What is a pro on YOOthemes is that they have in almost every template a big variety in module-layouts (module-suffixes).

December 10, 2008 at 2:29 am #282087Thanh you all for you nice comments!
zorroh;94385i like this template concept, but.. is there plan to release white/light/bright version? or something what not looks so dark?[/quote]
Certainly, the 6 versions are completely different, 2 dark & impressive, 2 bright and young, 2 are kind of seasoning…

Yes, it will be rolled out within this month 🙂

December 10, 2008 at 11:24 am #282165This is fantastic. Not just the design, but giving people screenshots of what the new template will look like. This gives us, the customers, a chance to give you guys feedback on what we think of the new designs, and if any changes should be made.
May I suggest, that if this is the quality we are getting from one template each month, I myself would be very happy with a “lesser” template or an “Update” of an older template as the 2nd month one.

Thank you midgard! However the outcome of the final template might be difference because the photoshop version can be difference from the coded & Joomla-content-included and this difficulty is not well awared.
BWT, the 4th theme (Grass) has been updated as well

It would be great if those full layout photoshop files were included in the source files with all templates.
Also a design competition would be great. Where users can submit a psd of a template design and Joomlart turn it into a template and release it. That’d be really cool!

Design competition! That sounds like a great idea. Why didn’t I think of that first? It would also be a good way members more active.1 user says Thank You to sunrise for this useful post
