    Hiding the main navigation on a desktop version behind an icon is not a good decision from a UX/UI perspective. On a mobile version when you have limited space I can see the necessity but when you have the room it is a serious case of form overriding function. On that note, the first thing we have done on the Magento themes we have purchased from here is change the mobile navigation icon to include “Main Menu” next to the 3 bars as we found through a/b testing that it drastically improved site navigation and conversions.
