I have tried to use Joomlart themes and the T3 framework a few times, and I find the fact that it uses a plugin very complicated. Its been a while now but I remember you had template over-rides both in the /template/html folder and also in the plugin folder. This was confusing!
Creating new module positions was never straight forward compared to the other systems.
Also, I have run into really bad jquery conflicts when using the T3 system. There may be other factors involved, but 3 out of 3 times I have had to abandon the template/T3 halfway through project development to move to a gantry or warp framework which I find much simpler and less prone to conflicts (having spent a lot of time trying to resolve the problems!).
I still manage a website on t3 (built by someone else) and it seems to be alright for now, but the client want’s a new look now so I will drop the T3 I expect.

June 16, 2015 at 6:59 am #574173I do understand your thoughts. Maybe you used the older T3? The latest version, T3V2, has really changed since then with many things becoming a lot easier and also more configurable. Jquery conflicts have reduced considerably too. Maybe give the latest Purity iteration a test run and see how it goes. I agree, T3 takes a bit of learning, but once you do it is quite simple.

June 22, 2015 at 10:00 pm #575113tom_laan84;477809also i never got any answer to this question!:
How about users of the site and the ability to add a listing? No listings website is viable without a user friendly way to add listings from the front-end by visitors of the website.
still no answer. Im out of patience JA staff!

We are author of JU Directory, and we have Lite free version here: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/directory-a-documentation/directory/ju-directory-lite Free Download: http://www.joomultra.com/download/extensions/ju-directory-lite.htmlWe would love to see if JA Directory template supports JU Directory extension for full feature of real directory site, JU Directory already support Bootstrap 3 in its default template, so it take less time for JA Staff to implement it, we use JU Directory on Purity III template for the demo, and it works great without any custom css, just Purity III + default JU Directory component template: http://demo.joomultra.com/judirectory/
We are very happy to give some discount on pro version for any JA Member who using JU Directory extension.

June 24, 2015 at 9:47 am #575353Hi @tom_laan84,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, this thread is mixed up to it’s a little bit difficult to follow. I’m not sure 100% about what you mean but I can give you an example as below :
As you already know, we use K2 item to represent data in JA Directory and you can give users permission to create new K2 item in front-end, it will look like this.
The item itself is displayed in this page and if you enter necessary info like lat / long value, it will automatically be represented in the JA Google Map above, no need additional task to setup the map.
