Hello,
I show valorations and comments (with UDJA) in all the articles.
I would like that everybody could see the result for the valorations in the articles and all the comments. But I need that only registered users could vote and comment the articles.I´m using the Teline IV Template.

October 26, 2011 at 6:23 pm #421737Hi Maria!
There is no need to apologize for your English. It is fine!
Please Pm me backend access to your site. DO NOT post here!
Give me Super Admin access, user name and password in the PM and I will take a look.
Thanks!October 27, 2011 at 11:01 am #421865Hello Blaine, I sent you a message. Could you view something?

October 27, 2011 at 9:39 pm #422019Hi Maria!
I have viewed the site and gone to UDJA’s site and as JA does not offer support for third party items, I think it is best you ask in their forums. Please let me know if this resolves for you. If not, let me know also.
Thanks!November 2, 2011 at 10:35 am #422919Hello Blain, ok, I´ll try to ask for the restrict comments in UDJA forums.
But, what about the characteristic for allow vote the articles only for registered users?

November 2, 2011 at 11:55 pm #423003Hi Maria!
If this is a feature of the UDJA, then I would ask in their forum as well or see if they have any documentation to review.
Thanks!November 3, 2011 at 7:16 am #423035Hello Blain, I´m asking for 2 differents things:
1. Comments. Ok, I´m searching in UDJA forums
2. Another thing different: puntuation in articles. I attach an image with the parameter (it´s a parameter in the arcticles options)… This is a statndard parameter for articules in Joomla.
Regards,
María

November 4, 2011 at 12:14 pm #423216Hi Maria!
I do not read the language on the screen shot.
The punctuation may be standard Joomla, but if it is being called from a UDJA product, that edit file may be located elsewhere.
Please explain to me in English what is on the screen shot that you want me to see, or you may ask in the UDJA forums, or if this is from standard Joomla function, ask in the Joomla.org forum.
Article punctuation could be called from many different places, even including the template file, but I would have to see the path to know.
Maybe you can download and use FireBug to determine where the code you are looking for is coming from.
Thanks!November 4, 2011 at 1:57 pm #423220Hello Blain,
forget UDJA and comments…. One of my problem is with UDJA comments, but I´ll solve it in UDJA forums 🙂
Now, about valorations in articles. All the articles in Joomla had parameters. My question is about:
In the Article manager, Parameters button, Global configuration, Article Rating/VotingOK, I need that every user see the votes for an article, but only registered users could vote the article. This is my question. (Nothing related with UDJA)

Maria,
maybe I am confused what valorations are but it seems to me this is a function of the UDJA you are using. Adding a like or comment is NOT standard Joomla. Is there a specific JA item you have installed that you are saying is doing this function?
Please clarify.
Thanks!November 7, 2011 at 8:00 am #423530Hello Blain,
I´ll show you step by step, from a Joomla installation new, without UDJA component installed… then, forget UDJA and comments please 🙂
Step 1. Go to Articles ManagementStep 2. Go to article paremeters
Step 3. Mark property voting as Show (the default value is Hide)
Step 4. Finally, the known result in Joomla (in all the articles with the parameter Article rating/voting marked with value Show)
As you can see, this is a property of Joomla.
Regards,
María- Blaine Friend

November 7, 2011 at 8:17 pm #423593Hi Maria!
First, forgive me, I really thought you were trying to perform a UDJA action. So sorry. thanks for the pics to clarify things for me!
To access the User manager, you need to login to Joomla! 1.7 control panel as administrator. Once you are logged in, you can see various web management tools and options. You need to click on “Users” and then on “User manager”Adding a new user group
In the user manager window, click on ‘ Users’ from the top menu bar and select ‘Group’. In the User Group section inside User Manager Window, click on ‘New’ at the top of the interface. A window will pop up and you will be prompted to enter the name you want to set for the group. Fill in the required details and click on Save & Close to exit. ‘Group successfully saved’ message will appear to indicate that the group is created.Setting Permissions for user groups
After creating the user group, you need to set special permissions and access rights for the particular group. To do so, you need to access Global Configuration settings. In the Joomla! control panel window you need to find and click on ‘Site’ option in the top menu and choose ‘Global Configuration’ from the drop down menu. Now you could see four tabs; click on ‘Permissions’ to specify permissions for the group. A window would pop up displaying all the user groups. You need to click on the particular group that you want to make changes to and click on settings. Make required changes and save it. ‘Configuration successfully saved’ message would appear and you can exit the window. That said, it seems there is no way to control WHO can vote on an article unless an extension is used.
Maybe JA Voice would be a good option to look at Maria!- AuthorPostsViewing 14 posts - 1 through 14 (of 14 total)
