AFAIK this is a server error. In other words it’s your actual server software and not a joomla issue. Maybe someone can clarify this?

A server with that error just usually requires a reboot, but normally the server “hangs”, yours doesn’t.

Maybe you have enabled SEF or edited your .htaccess file?

I only change the permissions on the folder components / com_virtuemart in 744

Ok, back up your database, via phpmyadmin, or whatever your host supplies.

Blank your configuration.php, and reinstall. Don’t reupload anything, or delete it just yet. Reinstall, and restore your database.

That should solve it.

Here’s some links to help; this is for wordpress, but the same applies to Joomla. It’s a video file, so it should make it easier.

I can not restore the database because of an error on the line in 1788 sql file.

That’s probably why your previous installation may have died – the database somehow became corrupt.
