never had this problem before… i get to the joomla web installer page — put my info in and hit next and nothing happen’s… do i need to reinstall file’s/ ftp again ? ? ?

any idea’s… all the file’s were ftp’d with dw…. weird as heck…

no i get to that screen and then hit next to initiate the db connection and nothing… it is like the link dsnt work? i have never had this happen before….

does anyone have an idea what is going on…

I just have to ask, are you actually filling in the database details in ie host name, database user name and so on? if you don’t enter those details in and you click on next, it won’t do anything.

Hi!
If you get to the part where it tries to connect to the database and cannot, it should “error out” with an error message. Check your database name password etc. to see if you made a typo error. If you typed in everthing correctly then call your Hosting provider. If you don’t mind me asking..who is your hosting provider? I had the same problem with my provider Media Temple in CA and they have been having Database connect problems recently.

was an issue with godaddy— they were having server problems…
