Hi all. Quick question.

I have a joomla 1.7.3 installation from the JA_NEX quick installation package.
I have attempted to upload a component (HikaShop) through the standard Joomla extension manager and it gives no error messages and tells me installation is a success. However I can’t access the component as it’s not listed on the Joomla components menu. It’s there in JoomlArt extension manager, and shows in the joomla extension manager, but not in my component access menu.

Is this likely to be anything to do with either the Quickstart build or the JA extension manager?

Hi

I have installed on my localhost version of Ja_Nex with Joomla 1.7.3 the HikaShop component starter version and all is working as expected i have the component correctly showed in the components list

tried to add some categories and products and all works fine

Try to check in your log files maybe you can find some additional info about your issue

Thanks. Very fast response. Wow! As a check I’ve just tried the same with virtuemart and it is doing exactly the same, so I can eliminate HikaShop as the issue. I’ll check logs and get back if necessary.

Well, that’s interesting. It’s there. If I type …/administrator/index.php?option=com_hikashop it’s there and fully functioning, so it’s just a listing issue. Bizarre, but I can at least work with it against the tight deadline. 🙂
