April 9, 2013 at 3:19 pm #186619Hi,
I have installed quick start for J2.5.
I went to languages installation and all I get are JA extensions. No languages.
Clicking Find languages and Purge cache has no effect. Please advice.

April 10, 2013 at 10:12 am #489420Language packs come from Joomla.org not the template makers. You need to install them from here – http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languages/translations-for-joomla
Look around the net for videos on how to set up Joomla for multi-language – there are plenty of resources on youtube etc. Wall follows these.
Hope that helps

April 10, 2013 at 11:13 am #489429Hi swissa,
Joomla 2.5, provides a build in functionality for update and language installation directly from the backend of Joomla.
ALL other JA templates work just fine with this functionality. Only JA Wall appears to have a problem.
Evidently the template has some problem, because it should not show extensions at the languages!!! I cannot deliver a site knowing that there may be a problem!
Please, anybody, could you look into this?
Thanks in advance!7of9 Friend7of9

April 15, 2013 at 11:58 am #489936Hi,
I am not sure I understand what you mean, however I found out what’s wrong with the template and this is how I fixed it:
Open phpMyAdmin and run the following SQLs, replacing the id with one that does not already exist and yeuz with the prefix of your tables:
INSERT INTO `yeuzj_update_sites` (`update_site_id`, `name`, `type`, `location`, `enabled`, `last_check_timestamp`) VALUES
(7, ‘Accredited Joomla! Translations’, ‘collection’, ‘http://update.joomla.org/language/translationlist.xml’, 1, 1366025997);INSERT INTO `yeuzj_update_sites_extensions` (`update_site_id`, `extension_id`) VALUES
(7, 3);After that, open the install language again, and instead of JA extensions, you will see the languages, so you can install the language of your choice.
It appears that more templates are starting to have this problem. Most probably it has to do with some of the latest updates, because, also Brisk picked it up and it used to work fine before.
Please Joomlart check it out!!!I hope this will help someone. 🙂

April 19, 2013 at 8:40 am #490410Hi,
Unfortunately, the db has more problems. I tried to install Greek content language and inside the view, I see styles, while I should see just the content languages. I attach a screen cap, in order to understand what I mean. Furthermore, the language switcher does not show any languages. (I have enabled the two plugins System – Language Code, System – Language Filter)
The URL is: http://stigmacom.stigma-com.grPlease advice.

April 24, 2013 at 8:24 am #490894Hi 7of9,
Indeed, I need to admit it is our issue of JA Wall 2.5 quickstart version, the Install languages tab shoulde be language package’s url, instead of JA extension’s ones. We will include the correction in next released update of JA Wall 2.5 template.
For language styles: They are our integrated language styles for our JA Wall template styles (Classic, Default, Metro …). That is why you saw the language styles in Content Lanaguage tabs. The below document is related to this concern:
http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_wall/en/documentation/item/371-ja-wall-insight-3-themes-styles.htmlThe language switcher does not show any languages (I have enabled the two plugins System – Language Code, System – Language Filter)
>> Can you send me a PM with your admin for checking this issue ?
By the time, the below tutorial can be helpful for you in creating Multiligual sites.

April 26, 2013 at 4:31 am #491099Hi 7of9,
I have checked out your back-end, could see that you still didn’t assign language menu fo Language Switcher module.
That is why the Language Switcher module at your sidebar don’t show anything.
You need to create a English language menu & a Greek language menu for swiching languages by following below tutorial:
http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/joomla-multi-lingual/* The working Language Switcher module will look like the attached image.
Regards,

June 30, 2013 at 5:34 pm #497407Hi Leo,
I have spent a lot of time on my own trying to figure out the problem.
This is my problem:As you can see, falang shows styles were it should show languages.
This is why:Because the quick start of the template has some problem and it shows styles inside the languages.
I don’t know how to fix that. I would appreciate any help.-

July 1, 2013 at 4:48 am #497440Hi 7of9,
Thank you for feedbacks. Our JA Wall developer has already confirmed that the language style database of our demo version is imported into the recent JA Wall quickstart package. That is why you got many language styles in Template Manager, instead of language installation packages. Our QA team is still working to release the new update of JA Wall quickstart which includes this database issue fix. Hope you can wait for this.
