    i have the same problem on my website. Without a running save or apply-button in the confuguration for the template, this website ist useless.

    The cause, once again, were file permissions. It’s amazing how much problems they can cause in Joomla.
    In my case, the template configuration works with 444 permissions in params.ini, but not with 777 permissions. I hope this helps someone.
