How to change the results page of k2 filter? I really displays the results on the same page where the finder module inserted.
As I can mostar results on a new page by pressing the search button?

Hi imaxenio2293 ,

K2 Filter using layout “Generic” of k2 component for results search page. Now, you can’t change layout of search result.

If you want change search layout, you can :

To change the generic.php overrides, follow our instructions below:

Step 1: Copy file: generic.php from: /components/com_k2/templates/ to: /templates/YOURTEMPLATE/html/com_k2/

Note: If the folder /html/com_k2/ does not exist, please create the folders.

Step 2: Customize the file: generic.php as you wish the layout of search result page with JA K2 Filter module to be.

Hi MoonSailor,

What do I have to change in file generic.php to display search results with following specs:

– Divided in 3 columns, unlimited item rows to bottom of page
– Item image 50x50px, article title, first 20 words from article as description
– Read more button

You need to customize K2 layout. In this case, I can’t support.

Our support scope is limited to bug fixing and helping users get demo site alike setup.

Thanks but I have done that already, but my problem is that when you press the search button does not generate a new page to see the results, but these are shown on the same page where it is published in module position contentbody

The k2 filter search results shows me always on the index page or the page where the module is inserted, but I can not generate a new page where the results show.
I want to generate a new page to display the results. Is that possible?

Hi MoonSailor,

I understand your point of view, but I don’t understand why JA makes a Search and Filter module, without the possibility to setup the display of the search results…. I can’t use the module now :((

When I checked your site, i think JA K2 Filter runs as normal. Search result returns with “component/jak2filter/?Itemid=101&xf_11=0&xf_12=0&xf_13=0” – it’s layout of k2 component (generic.php).

Could you take a look at this or write instruction please?

Is this something that could be added into future update? It would make the plugin so much better!

+1 on adding the option to output results in the same format as the chosen category view. In my case 4 column + small image only. See screen grab.
