    Hello,

I’m trying to enable social login in the JA comment component.
I installed and enabled the plugin JA Janrain. I have signed up for Janrain Engage Basic.
I configured RPX settings in JA Janrain with the data from Janrain Engage account.
But I always get the same error: Failed to load resource url with “https://openid/embed?token_url =…………………….. ……..”

    Thanks for any help

that is because you need to go into rpxnow and configure it to access each social media you want to. For example there is a config for facebook and another for twitter, and another for discus etc.. each of these has steps that need to be done to make it work for that media. Else by default the only thing rpxnow supports is openid.

    Thanks n6rej,

I continued to investigate the problem
Yesterday I detected the first error. The url to the sign-in service was not built correctly , because the JA comment component is not getting properly JA JanRain settings.
How I ‘ve detected it :
I ‘ve got an error in the “….. components com_jacomment views users tmpl login.php”, the application name, <? php echo $ this-> application;?> was null. “This-> application” is Rpx Application value from JA JanRain plugin. That is not successfully retrieved.

To continue testing, I made a change, suggested in a forum to get the name of the application: xxxxx.rpxnow.com . But I don´t know if the others settings value from JA JanRain are being obtained correctly.

With this change I could connect with the sign-in services of JanRain, and I was able to login with Google , and it was done correctly. The logins are recorded in the dashboard of JanRain.

After closing the pop-up login returning to my website, the user is not logged, >:( but in JanRain dashboard the visit is actualized

Due to security reasons my hosting had disabled outgoing connections for all user accounts.
    The problem is solved.
    Thank you
